Can't believe I've passed by this place no fewer than 50x in almost a half decade for work and never knew it was there. I got the dressing with okra and mac and cheese with a slice of red velvet. Everything, from the cornbread to the gravy on the dressing, was delicious. I really can't remember the last time I had such a good meat and three. For everything with tax, I paid about $18. It was a little pricy, but the portions were good and the employees were all nice even though it was lunch hour and they were jam-packed. Definitely can't come here all the time, but I know where I'll get lunch when heading back to the office in Bham from now on! We discovered this awesome restaurant a couple of weeks ago- we own a window tint shop on Skyland and it's so easy to order lunch online and go pick it up. They are always busy but I haven't had to wait to get my food. The food is AMAZING- it's well seasoned, the meat is always tender, and the portions are huge. I can eat twice from each meal I get there. PLEASE for the love of all things good, give this place a try. In a world plagued by a severe shortage of excellent meat 'n threes, this place is a gem!!! This is some of the best southern food I’ve eaten in my entire life and the owners and staff are exceptionally friendly. I’ve been to this restaurant a few times in the past two months and I will tell you I am never disappointed I leave feeling full and happy if you want real authentic, southern cooked food made from scratch, you’ve made it to the right place kings kitchen! The best kept secret soul food spot in Tuscaloosa! Hands down, some of the best food I've eaten out. Good down-home southern food fixed with love and without pork seasoning. My husband and I have dined here twice within a two week period, and we do not live in Tuscaloosa lol! Hamburger steak, gravy, fried okra, and authentic mac n cheese!! Delicious!! Fried catfish with no oil remnants, collard greens( delicious), yams.. I can't sing their praises enough! If I could give them 10 stars, I would. Simple dining and very clean. You need to come see for yourself! We love this place!! And the desserts....goes without saying... To the King establishment, thank you for preparing such delicious food. Side note, they do have pork chop, prepared separately from the rest of their food. I don't eat pork, but my husband does, and he said they are beyond amazing. Haven't personally eaten here yet. Picked up food quite often. When I hit my target weight, I will be cheating to test everything on the menu. And some restaurants seem "annoyed" by some to-go orders. This place is always hospitable and friendly. The food smells wonderful, and being Southern was what I grew up on. Maybe the reason I'm on my diet. The customers always seem to enjoy their meals, with some eating there daily or several times a week. Service Take out Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
I wanted to give this place a shout out for a really good first experience. First time there, we ordered online about 20 minutes before close which is always risky. I had ordered a main that they had run out of. They went out of their way to make substitutions based on what they had left that was above and beyond what was expected. The food was good. Everything tasted fresh and it had the home cooked, down home southern flavor you hope for when you go to a meat and three. My grandma wasn’t there in the kitchen, but someone’s grandma was. Thanks. I will be back now that I have finally tried you guys. Service Take out Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

I've been searching for Soul Food restaurant in Tuscaloosa as it would save me time from cooking my own or driving an hour to Birmingham. I know they have certain ways to season their foods as to different customers visiting. But Nothing was seasoned, The bake chicken was bland the mashed potatoes and the blacked eyes tasted like they were from a box and a can. I think I'll take the drive going forward. I know you can't satisfy everyone, but still... Service Take out Meal type Lunch Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2
My food here is usually great. However today I got a plate of old chicken wing and old fries. I went back in to tell them by the time I got out my mouth about the fries the cook said go to your car we’ll bring it out with an attitude. I didn’t even get to tell about the chicken but I was not about to take chances with someone cooking my food
I was craving some fried chicken wings and decided to try King’s Kitchen for the very first time. These had to be some of the best chicken wings I have ever had. They were cooked perfectly and were fresh. I wish I had a menu so I could have called in, but these wings were worth the wait. I now have the menu, and I will be back to try the spaghetti! Service Take out Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30

Stopped in here on our way to Atlanta from Dallas. Lunch was A++. The chicken was in my Top 2 all-time. The greens were legit, and the green beans were good, too. There was an older woman running the show and she was as hospitable as you will find anywhere. 100% chance that we'll be back if we find ourselves in Tuscaloosa again. If you're in the area, skip the chain restaurants, go here instead. Also, Go Dawgs!
