My wife and I had an unpleasant experience at Village Dishes. We had to go to the front desk to lodge a complaint after none of the wait staff, who made eye contact with us, were willing to take our order. Once a member of staff was dispatched to our table, our order could not be fulfilled as we had wanted to; a number the items we selected on the menu were not available on that day (Friday). While the kuku choma portion was underwhelming for the price it was sold, the mahamri and the tamarind juice were amazing.

It has a large seating area, its very clean, has a wide variety of meals especially the vegetables and good customer service is given by the employees... I will definitely be going back there when I pass through that road...
