During my visit to Kha Basi Café near Altit Fort, I was truly captivated by the serene and breathtaking environment that surrounded this charming establishment. The setting itself is a testament to the beauty of the region, creating a truly relaxing atmosphere.
Now, let's talk about the food – it was undeniably of exceptional quality. Every dish I tried was a delightful culinary experience, showcasing the flavors of the region. However, I do share a concern with many local Pakistanis; the prices here are on the higher side. While I understand the need to cater to tourists, it would be wonderful if they could consider offering more budget-friendly options for the local community. This way, everyone could enjoy the fantastic food and ambiance without feeling the pinch.
Despite this one drawback, I can confidently say that if I find myself in Hunza again, I wouldn't dream of missing another visit to Kha Basi Cafe. It's a place that not only serves delicious food but also provides an unforgettable experience amidst the natural beauty of the area.

The cafe has a beautiful view to offer right inside the Royal Gardens. The food is outstanding, and I would highly recommend the fresh Apricot Juice! The cafe has a rustic, peaceful atmosphere perfect for evening tea.

If you find yourself in the Hunza Valley, I highly recommend making a stop at Khabasi Cafe. It is located in the gardens of Altit Fort and offers a beautiful view of the Hunza Valley. As a female-run business, it adds a unique touch to the overall experience. They were all so sweet and welcoming.
As a lover of authentic cuisine, I couldn't resist trying the Hunzai food that Khabasi Cafe is renowned for. Dowdo soup and Chaap shrou both were so so good. I am back home and while writing this I am craving for some!
The only thing I feel they can improve is their serving time✨✨

A beautiful Cafe next to the Altit fort managed by Serena. It is entirely run by females and they're some of the sweetest ladies who will make you feel at home. The food is a bit pricey but really good! Definitely worth trying!

The food was actually the worst part. From soup to dessert, nothing felt like a 5 start experience. It felt like a waste of our time and money. Would especially recommend for karachiites to not go there as they wont like the taste at all.

Excellent food, specially Buruste Berikutz and a very scenic place right under the Altit fort. Gardens all around with apple and walnut trees. Rabbits running around and light music coming from the music school nearby. Beautiful view of the mountains from the cafe. Operated by the amazing ladies of Hunza. A must visit place for anyone coming to hunza valley
The food wasn't worth it at all. Really bad experience with the taste. Had a 3 course meal and not one thing was up to the mark. Especially the dessert which was unbearable.

This cafe is run by women only and they are most friendly and sweet females I have came across. From cook to waitress all are women and they have some amazing hunzai food and local food as well. Dou dou soup is a must and chap shuru... They also have a good variety of local food like daal makhni and their apricot chicken is a must try. The views from the balcony showing the river and the mountains is experienced best with their hot cappuccino.
I have never tried anything more revolting than the food we had in Kha basi cafe. Went to the cafe with high expectations but unfortunately was disappointed very much.
