Normally I love Kelly's. Today though I ordered the ham and gruyere toast and got this....two slices of cheese semi melted on one slice and then ham tossed on top of a soggy piece of bread. What happen here? Old review: Love Kelly's. This is our weekend coffee and pastry spot. Fresh bread, pastries, and lunch.

Upd 2023 - after years of being closed, they've opened a pop-up store where they sell favorite pastries, desserts and bread. 2017. Cool place with delicious pastry 😍

My first time here. Wow, super amazing treats. I had the quiche which was really good. Took home a berry macaroon and it was delicious. Avocado toast looked great. Will try next time. Nice to sit outside at this place

Pretty international for a bakery rather than being specifically French, I would say, but so many delectable, colorful options that you could come back time and time again and never get the same thing! I ended up getting the triple layer item with the raspberries on top as shown in my photo on the top right and all of us were totally into it! Really want to try the strawberry macaron sandwich at the bottom!

This was the first place we tried when we moved to the westside of Santa Cruz, and it is still a favorite. Everything we've tried here has been great, but the chicken turnover is a buttery favorite along with the macarons. There's a lovely place where you can eat outside under the shade of an umbrella. We enjoy bringing guests here to take in the ocean air over wonderful baked goodies or lunch. The other option we have done is get the food to go (especially if we come at a peak time and they are super-busy) and take a picnic down to West Cliff Drive to enjoy the view or take it home and combine with fresh fruit from the local farmer's market.

Had the BLTA sandwich and fries after a 10km run. Sandwich hit the spot!! Service was super friendly too. Later, had the kouign amann with a cup of coffee. Great dessert. Definitely would come back again.

Wanted to use restroom there so bought a coffee and surprisingly its too good. It was vanilla latte for 3.45 bucks. Will definitely visit there in future.

The poached eggs with smoked salmon is a great breakfast but don't leave without taking some of the pastries for the road!
