We were driving from New York City to Pittsburgh and stopped here when they were closing the restaurant. We were seated quickly, the food and the service were excellent. Honestly, I was rather disappointed with the food. I bought a special which was a spicy chicken sandwich which included French fries. It was a sad sandwich dripping in a spicy ranch(I think) dressing. The piece of chicken was quite small, but the fries were delicious! I purchased the salad bar separately and was very good! My wife and I have been going here for 30 years. We frequented the area and the highlight of our shopping trips was to stop at Kaufman's for a really good meal. We were never disappointed. Yesterday I didn't go with my wife, so she got take out. We have had the take out before, and again, never disappointed. What we got yesterday was very disappointing. The half of chicken was so small it looked lost in the container. More like a Cornish Hen. The potato stuffing was nothing more than mashed potatoes with some seasoning. The SMALL half of chicken was dry also. I guess good things don't last forever just like our going to Kaufman's for a GOOD meal. If this is the way they are dealing with rising costs, I wish they would have raised the price instead. Food: 1 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Excellent place for Lunch/Dinner. My family and I would travel from Texas to visit family, and we would always have this restaurant on our list of usual stops (sometimes even twice). Wonderful options for food. I personally recommend their Hot Chicken Sandwich. The gravy that they use is immaculate. Before you go, make sure you leave room for dessert, because they have the best soft serve Ice Cream. Overall, 5/5 Stars - Go with the family! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Should have gotten the chicken my husband said. He had a hamburger, which was so-so, the vegetables on it were very fresh. Chicken nuggets were run of the mill. I had oysters, not bad. I haven't been here for years, but the place was like I always remember it. They have a large menu with lots of chicken options. Alittle disappointed in the brown lettuce at the salad bar. Otherwise food was pretty good

I enjoyed the roasted chicken, mashed potatoes, and the salad bar... also, the pie. I think the chicken could've been evenly seasoned. There was a hit and miss of flavors; but, the seasoning is good. The staff members are extremely friendly. It's welcoming, especially when eating by yourself. It's clean,plenty of sitting space, lots of parking space and you can also purchase ice cream. Staff is very friendly except the cashier was not as friendly. Everything was clean. Gave it a 4 star only because for a BBQ restaurant I would expect more BBQ. Chicken is one of the main things on their menu and it is not BBQ chicken. Tasted like chicken I make at home. So it was disappointing. The portion you get is worth the money. They have mini golf here that is inexpensive. Ice cream here looks amazing and there was a line for the icecream. I wouldnt come back for the dine in, but would come back to try the ice cream.
