At first I impressed with the look of the restaurant, it is so beautiful and charming building. It was more impressive when I go inside. Me and familly tried some pastries and all deliciuos. Try corned beef sandwich, very recommended! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner

I've seen this place for a few years, finally decided to give it a try. I didn't see it before the remodeling but right now it's beautiful. It looks fancy and clean. There's a few areas inside the restaurant and as far as I could see, all of them looked pretty. Our waitress was great. Food came out hot and tasty. Prices mostly start around $20 but there's a lot of options, and for the food quality and quantity I think prices are fair. They also have a bakery with customizable cakes. They also have a coffee area which seems open during morning hours. Will definitely come back. Extra points for having a family restroom. This was our first time back since the remodel, and you would not recognize the place! I haven't tried the whole menu here, but the sandwiches are always great, breakfast options are good, and my wife loves the matzo ball soup. Can't leave here without stopping at the bakery for a cupcake or some cookies either. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I stop at Katella’s at least once, while in the area and visiting Southern California, as I love their huge selection of baked goods and I like their food as well! Clean, good service, good Kosher food, and a family friendly atmosphere. Fresh sandwich breads, and known for their pastrami sandwiches, Matza ball soup, and knish! Meatballs are also homemade and delicious! If you like a really good old school cherry, peach, blueberry, or apple turnover, they have one of the best I’ve had outside of home! Fresh baked goods and breads daily is key for me and clean good homestyle scratch food brings me back all the time😋🥰👍🏼 Foodie from Hawaii🌴🌺 Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Mish Mash Matzo Ball Soup

I purchased $193 in baked goods. We drove all the way from Upland and they left the cookies out of my order. We spoke to manager Leo 2x who said he was going to refund the cookies. He said he processed the refund and he didn’t. The quality here has gone WAY downhill. We are longtime customers of 20 years. The bear claws are now just bread dough with a Sparse amount of filling, they are tiny as compared to past years. The bear claws are NOT the flaky pastry dough they used to be, so basically, it’s a hunk of bread dough with filling, which did not taste good. The danishes we purchased, were basically the same as the Bear claw, they are not flaky pastry with fruit filling, they are bread dough with a tiny amount of fruit in the middle, The quality wasn’t there, and they do not taste the way they used to. They no longer make blueberry pastries, coconut custard pastries , or figure 8’s , which is disappointing. However, if they’re just going to slap filling inside of bread dough, I guess it doesn’t matter because it’s not going to taste good anyway. They no longer make cranberry bagels either. Katella deli, you have lost me as a customer. I don’t appreciate being lied to by your manager regarding my refund and the quality of your baked goods is disappointing. I am a competitive baker, and I do know the difference between a hunk of bread with filling and an actual pastry. Don’t waste your money here. Mediocre baked goods at best. In my photo shown below, you can see that this so-called bear claw is a hunk of bread with filling in it. How can you tell it’s bread? Bread has holes in it and pastries have flakes. I would give this place zero stars if I could .

It’s an interesting combination of bakery, restaurant, cafe & deli. I had the traditional turkey dinner. The broccoli was bland, mashed potatoes were almost soupy, and the turkey was more like thick slices of deli turkey. For what it was, not that bad. It was hot and that helps the overall plate. The stuffing was fresh and tasted fine. I ordered a slice of pumpkin pie which was a dense pumpkin filling and the crust was average tasting; not nice and flaky but not dried out hard either.
