A lovely lady at the local Marshall's suggested I go to this market for their olive oil based soap. I have a lot of skin sensitivities and thought I'd give it a try. What I found upon arrival was a treasure trove of wonderful things. Soaps. Herbs. Nuts. Teas. Beautiful produce. Lamb. Oxtail. A great variety of wonderful things. The downside: The shop being labeled as a bakery was part of what drew us in, but there was no baking happening, and there was a very little selection of baked goods. I was hoping for some baklava type sweets, but there were none to be found. Also saw no shish kabob, despite it being in the name. Maybe we were there too early in the day? On another note, I found it odd that the gentleman checking us out at the register asked me if I'd be using a Bridge Card, but did not ask my friend. I wasn't, but I'm curious to know why that was even a consideration or concern. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

I never visited this store with the old owner (new ownership took over last month).Went to pick up some authentic Middle East food staples for my open house (I do offer small sandwiches for my visitors to my open house in West Bloomfield' open houses. The chef made the whole tray into small mini sandwiches for no extra charges and did make sure the package looked real appealing by just looking at it and putting plenty of napkins. Did my open house that day and (the weather was good, and many visitors did come, all of them could not stop themselve from picking up a mini sandwiches especially the kids want more but moms told them that this was only a sampler and not food to get filled, was so funny and all of the people did ask me what is the address of this market. Thank you so much for the kitchen and for my next open houses in Farmington Hills, Novi, Commerce twp. or West Bloomfield, I am getting the food from this market. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Used to go here all the time.. But quality has gone down. They gave us meat that was old, and the soup had a smell to it. We actually got sick from the food. The management used to be so nice but whoever took over is so rude. Not going back.

Our family loves Mediterranean food and this authentic bakery was great. Their pita sandwiches for takeout were big and tasted great. The sandwiches were all between $5-$8. We bought a lot of meat pies, spinach pies, hommus, and baba and my family ate everything in a couple of days. They are one of the best Mediterranean markets/bakeries in Metro Detroit. If you like this type of food, do yourself a favor and go here.

This market is so amazing, the bread is absolutely to die for, always fresh and soft and delicious. The owners are wonderful people, so helpful and appreciate their customers so much. I absolutely love this market, everything they have is fresh and delicious. Such a great family to support! I drive out here once a week for the bulk herbs and spices and teas and delicious bread and cheeses! Definitely try the black seeds in the bulk section over your cheese with their breads, you will not be disappointed!! 👌 thank you for sharing such wonderful products and your culture with all of us!

This establishment is absolutely phenomenal!!!!! There prices are extremely affordable and the food quality and taste is fresh and authentic. They went above and beyond to make sure I was happy and satisfied which I am. The bread is so fresh you actual get to see them making it right in front of you. If your in the mood to eat delicious authentic Mediterranean at an affordable price GO TO SHISH KABON OF FARMINGTON you won't regret it!!!! I PROMISE!!! Sorry we couldn't wait and started eating before the pics lol.

House baked, Iraqi bread, Samoon, 4 for a buck, get ‘em hot out of the oven. Grab the tongs, in the paper sack, out the door. Really delicious bread, crispy and chewy, you never knew it could be your new favorite bread. It’s more than pita. Schmear some house made hummus on it, or eat these serving size breads right out of the bag. And the hummus is unbelievably velvety, light and spicy. Great hummus, great Iraqi bread. Kashat is Halal.
