I have ordered the spicy chicken bowl .. this food is not spicy I’m sorry to say that and when I smell the food .I can feel the oil smell on the chicken .. seems like they did not changed the oil for long time . I can smell some wired smell from the chicken . I’m having some stomach pain after eating the chicken .. it’s horrible experience..

We ordered delivery and they had a good deal on the coconut chicken and dynamite roll. It arrived and the “spicy tuna” inside the dynamite roll first looked weird, compared to other spicy tuna I’ve seen at restaurants inside of rolls. I had a few pieces and it tasted like someone put hot sauce on top of some kind of meat.
My first instinct was to say “this is not tuna”.. and I was right.. I decomposed the roll and it was ground up chicken.. literally like McDonald’s chicken… it didn’t even have tuna texture.
I started reading a review and someone said the coconut chicken was chicken nuggets.. I opened the coconut chicken bowl which was not even open yet, and it’s Chicken Nuggets! Like legit chicken nuggets.. not an exaggerated chicken nugget, like physically Tyson’s or McDonald’s chicken nuggets from the store.
The meat inside the roll was the same taste, look and texture!

We have gotten take out from here a number of times & it's always been great. Yesterday we decided to eat in instead. The food is consistently delicious....The hibachi steak with rice & veggies is so good & the price is very reasonable considering the cut of steak used.

I gave 3 stars, because the staff is always friendly and service is quick.
I’ve been to this location a few times for my Uber pickups, but this was my first visit for myself.
Bad:
The star… the entree.
As others have noted, they’re serving overprocessed, frozen section chicken nuggets in the chicken dishes. My coconut chicken dish was (literally) 5-6 chicken nuggets with a drizzle of coconut sauce atop a large bed of rice. I’m disappointed, but I don’t want to waste my money.
Ugly:
The thought of what they’re passing off as steak and seafood. 🫤

The man that works there was friendly. But I am so sorry to be rude, when Kanji first opened, they were decent. But more recently the food has gone downhill so bad. We spent 70.00. The sushi tasted old. Not like it used to at all. My teenager could hardly eat it (and we have had it several times in the past) The orange chicken bowl, was literally frozen chicken nuggets ya’ll. Like the kind you feed kids. I was so shocked. The shrimp was obviously a frozen shrimp as well, it did not taste like it did when we had it months ago. I was so upset about it. I will never return to this place. I hardly ever leave bad reviews, but i strongly encourage others not to eat at this establishment. i am so shocked about what were given this evening. So upsetting.
This is the same team that recently took over management at Tsunami on Dorchester. All I can say is they really care about producing quality food and making their customers happy. They always take care of me every time I visit. I eat at both locations usually 2-3 times a week.

Came in for sushi last night. Had a lot of the same offerings as many other local sushi places and decided to order the 3 roll combo.
Just after ordering and going to get my drink, I suddenly got a heavy smell of cigarette smoke that seemed to be coming in. It did appear the rear door was open, but the smell was drifting into the restaurant from the front. It didn't help that the smoking patio for the bar next door was right outside the front door, so no matter what, the smoke smell was coming in. Being a former smoker, this was not appealing at all, but it was clear it was not due to anything the employees were doing aside from keeping the back door open for some fresh air.
Sat down at the table, and the food took a little while to come, but I also saw many orders for takeout being done, so I didn't mind the wait. When the sushi came, it was clear that it was very fresh and tasted incredible! I would like to try other items on the menu, but I will gladly come back for more sushi in the near future!

Got Door dash yaddayadda, the fodd was absolutely delicious, w/fresh (real) crab and a couple delicious and creative rolls. Great value for money, sign up on their website and it'll give you $10 off your first purchase and a decent loyalty program. My only issue; Chicken nuggets in my teriyaki bowl, really? Nonetheless, it stood to test for my to switch up my local sushi spot. Doge to the Moon!
