Today I went to kaito and expected the same good meal as always today was a dreary rainy day and the young lady that took my order was very pleasant and professional, however the cooks who apparently were on a break when I came in. She gave them my order and no one moved. (Sn,) Just like in the nail salon they started speaking in their native language and finally one of them got and went in the back to prepare my order. Not the usual ten minutes, seconds later the rice was ready (I ordered shrimp fried rice.) She showed it to me it looked a little burnt, but once I got home I realized they apparently had scraped the bottom of the pan and gave it to me. Not cool kaito, not cool at all. I get a medium steak and it's always perfect - we go here at least once a week. My son gets the fried rice with nothing in it (eggs or veggies) and they accommodate - I know of other places that won't. The girl at the front has been there awhile now and she's always so pleasant and helpful. She speaks Spanish too which is nice because the Supermercado La Amistad is next door 🙂 Highly recommend! The hot teriyaki wings and teriyaki chicken plate were delicious. The wings are very fairly priced considering how expensive they are everywhere else nowadays. Good food, good portions, friendly staff. The only reason I can’t give 5 stars is because the inside is pretty dirty and smelled heavily of cigarette smoke.
