Juthi's is more than just a take away joint. Their curries and samosas are outstanding and it feels like you have entered a warm family home. So much so that I, personally go out of my way to stop by at times for a short chat while I pick up a sachet of milk. But family doesn't stop there.. On one side is Juthi's salon, which I must say is a surprisingly so, and beautifully fitted out container. When I get a tidy men's cut for R50 I often get the joy of seeing others just sitting and chatting, making it a living room affair, yet professional all the same. Then, to top it off I get my beard trimmed by a young man on the other side in his own container. For beards, fades and boys cuts, these guys are the ticket. I have yet to see barbers use clippers like they do. And to top it off they speak fluent English. So no arm waving and gesturing. Just R20 for a beard trim. Look, I'm bias because I have a relationship with the Juthi family, but they were the ones who made me comfortable enough to open up this introvert in the first place. 💜
