The general tso's was crispy, but it had little flavor other than "sweet". The pad Thai was extremely egg heavy, the pad see ew was supposed to come with thick rice noodles and vegetables, but there were only a few broccoli spears amidst the plate of salty yet cloyingly sweet fettuccini. The Thai basil with chicken was ok but very salty. Interesting take to blend the basil into the sauce rather than add it straight to the dish. Our soup appetizers were ok. We kept hearing the characteristic "beep beep beep" of a microwave and we joked they were heating our soup up, then moments later the bowls of warm (not hot) soup came out. Even if they were microwaved they were tasty. The martinis were boosted to be the biggest around, but when they arrived they were normal sized. The flavors were unique and fun, but the only thing that was large about them was the price. Definitely have sticker shock and honestly buyer's remorse. Also...$6 for a glass of diet Pepsi? Still a little stunned by that. The service was good, no complaints there. I don't remember the price of a side of rice but the small ½cup of rice that came was paltry. I ordered a take out from them , they put the food that had oily sauce in a paper container without letting me know, it soaked through the container into my bag and stained all my personal items and clothing , the sauce ran on my leg down to my sneakers and burned me as soon as I took out the food from my bag . when I got home, all of the food fell through the soaked paper container onto my floor. When I called to complain , they told me they were gonna have the manager call me back on the same day , but they never did . ------------ To the owner who replied 1. I DID NOT call the person an idiot , I said “it’s the stupidest idea to put liquidish food in a paper container.” Would you put a soup in a paper container???So don’t twist my words here. 2. Not just paper container, you put everything in a paper bag too , it doesn’t matter if I put in my bag or not ,, It would NOT change the result—all the food fell through the paper bag eventually onto my floor because the paper bag and the container were all soaked through and broke, It all went to waste, yes of course I tried to dispute my charge. 3. This justification of yours is a total fail, you need to work on your logic first. Service Take out Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Horrible food. Penang curry was flat and bad. Bowl was mostly filled with onions. 3 minuscule bites of tofu. Strange portions of egg and chicken in other dishes. Soy sauce is only real flavor. Really expensive. Servers were nice. Food: 1 Service: 5

Their martini menu is off the charts. I had the panang curry with chicken. Very delicious. Our server was really sweet. She chatted with my friends and me and gave us some insight on the area. I wish her well on completing her college degree. My friends all ordered different martinis so we all could sample. Great experience. Ambiance was good. We ate rather late so it was not that crowded for a Sunday night.
Johnny Thai at Monkey Bar is an absolute delight! Their BBQ ribs, pot stickers, and bao appetizers are outstanding. I highly recommend pairing them with the refreshing Jack and Thyme cocktail. The service is exceptional too. A must-visit for a memorable Thai dining experience. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Great place for drinks and appetizers. I have not tried their main courses. But the ambience and drinks are extremely good. Very quick service and quality drinks! Will visit again
Pretty fantastic Spicy Thai Chicken Basil dish that I would certainly come back for. Service is fine, nothing special, but this isn't fine dining so it is what it is, which is fine. I didn't have one, but their martini selection looks incredible! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50
Had a nice experience. One of the only sushi spots in P Town and it was delicious. Thank you Johnny Thai. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Stopped in for a cocktail to check out the new renovations- everything looks awesome! Well done guys. And the highlight of our visit was our bartender JOSÉ who made the best martinis, and is super friendly and ADORABLE 🥰!!! Thanks Johnny for bringing Jose up from Wilton Manors. We’ll definitely be back for cocktails and dinner soon.
Unfortunately some of the worst Thai food I’ve had in my life. They really don’t know anything about Thailand or their spices, even for American Thai food. It’s also extraordinarily expensive, about $25-30 an entree. The cocktails are also pretty subpar. The only redeeming part of the food was when we asked for fish sauce to make it taste palatable. The ambiance and service are also acceptable.
