Great now I’m going to be dreaming about felafel sandwiches all year. This place is the truth! A long time ago there was a Lebanese chef that open the falafel shop next to the mosque near my apartment in Seoul. As soon as you would walk in the door, he would smile at you tear off a piece of dough, roll out your pita and put it in the oven. Heaven I tell you, can you really have a great falafel sandwich without freshly made pita? Not in my world. Joe’s is the best I’ve had in ten years and I’ve been searching. If you’ve never had a falafel sandwich on freshly made pita, you owe it to yourself to get here as soon as possible. The chicken shawarma was absolutely fabulous. I had the plate which comes with salad and hummus or babaganoush. Both very good. This was my first visit here i will return it was definitely that good. Six years ago, I moved to Los Angeles and set out on a mythic quest to find the most crave-able hummus. About four years ago, I found it at Joe's falafel. I used to live right down the street and would indulge in at least once a week. Now, I live over in West Hollywood will still happily drive the 30 minutes over The Hills just for this amazing stuff. They make it in house, daily, and the flavor is distinct and lovely. You have to go. Joe is so kind, the atmosphere is humble, and you'll be glad you went. Literally best Mediterranean food I’ve had in a while. I got the vegetarian bowl it’s a super substantial portion size- the falafels are DELICIOUS cabbage salad amazing their beans are BOMB. I love this place so much. My roommate and I found this place on social media a week ago and have eaten here twice already. Everything is fresh, flavorful, and made quickly! The chicken is so tender, garlic sauce fresh, falafel crispy on the outside, nice and soft on the inside, rice beautifully cooked, pita amazing. I’d recommend this place to anyone and everyone.
