The restaurant was full when we arrived, and the atmosphere was bright and cheerful. You order at the cash register toward the back of the restaurant in an area you can't see from the door, then you seat yourself. The menu was posted on the wall, but there were quite a few patrons, so I would suggest looking up the menu before going if it is your first time. They hand you a glass to fill yourself and a number for the food runner to find your table. The menu items were unique, lots of gluten free and keto if you are into that, and we noticed lots of people ordering what looked like a deconstructed hamburger in a salad form. I opted for a daily special item, the catfish po boy. My friend ordered the chicken philly. We both liked our sandwiches very much. We also each ordered fries (they were a la carte) and did not like them at all. Neither of us ate them, and we are both huge french fry fans. These had a strange coating on the outside and the consistency was not what we are used to. The sandwiches themselves were filling, so we didn't go hungry by any means. There is a small store area to the left of the front door that sells keto/gluten free items, too. And we saw some banana pudding (not keto) that we will definitely try next time. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20
My husband wanted a good steak, was recommended to Jo’s Cafe. He ordered the 16 ounce ribeye medium well… the steak was fork tender and he didn’t have to add any steak sauce! AND those battered home fries were the bomb too! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Fries
Jo’s Cafe quickly became our favorite place to eat! We head to Jo’s every time we are in Tupelo and always look forward to it. The staff is super friendly. It’s like having dinner at a friends house and the food is spectacular! The burgers, salads, keto options, shrimp and grits, fries, steaks, potato bombs, ranch dressing and the Cheesecake. It is ALL perfectly seasoned, cooked and served. I have told all my friends about this wonderful restaurant. Please go try it for yourself, you will not be disappointed!

First time here. I had the burger and my husband had the Hens Nest. My burger was ok. Had a decent flavor. The Hens Nest was pretty good. Not a large portion for the price. The sweet tea had no sugar. Had to use sweet and low. Service was good. Probably wouldn't eat her again. Meal type Dinner Price per person $1–10

The steak is amazing, I've never had a steak that was well-done and still be able to taste the aged flavor. The Philly cheese steak and gumbo are also great. Don't forget the fat boy fries. My husband and I went on a Wednesday night and all I can say is the wrong person was cooking steaks that night. Worst steak I've ever had, it was full of garlic and drowned in Worcestershire sauce for some ODD reason!!!! The steak was floating on my plate from the bottle. $71 plus dollars we left and couldn't eat, not even my bread. It had garlic on it also. I didn't order Italian Food!!! Nice associate that took our order!! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100

I had blackened catfish with grits. It was delicious. The catfish was cooked perfectly, with crusty edges. The grits were highly seasoned - I will ask for lighter seasoning next time - personal preference. I enjoyed the atmosphere - great place to talk and visit, with very attentive wait staff.
The service was great and they were very attentive. My wife and I stopped in for dinner on a Thursday night. I ordered a ribeye and she ordered the pork ribeye. long story short both weren't tasty at all. My steak wasn't seasoned nor was it flavorful. Her's was the same. Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100
