Stopped in for something sweet to eat and drink. Presentation and service were great, but the pricing was a little on the steep side. None the less something different eating out on the end of the jetty. we were a bit hesitant to go in case it was a tourist trap but we ended up having one of the best meals we ever had anywhere! the seared tuna cooked medium rare was beyond words (melt in the mouth, succulent, and flavoursome). the fried calamari were crispy outside and soft inside, not greasy at all. impeccable service and an ambience that is hard to beat! Jetty 1905 was a disappointment. You can tell that they heavily rely on their gorgeous location and don’t need to put in much effort. The calamari rings and the chicken were great. I give 10s where 10s are due. The tuna, mussels soup and carpaccio weren’t. For a fish restaurant, that is also rather expensive, this is disappointing and we excepted more. The atmosphere was cold and not very welcoming. The view was beautiful. You could feel the ocean rumble beneath you, what was a special experience. The staff seemed haughty. One waiter was very nice. This is the most amazing restaurant in Swakopmund. Situated on the Jetty in the ocean, you have the most wonderful views of waves and ocean life around you. The staff is top class and very friendly. The food is simply amazing! Everything you order is prepared meticulously and is extremely tasty! You have to make a booking well in advance to avoid disappointment but I would advise everyone to go there at least once during your stay. My husband and I had dinner here on the 24th of February 2023. Server Nicodemus was friendly and helpful. Food was great.We had the Oyster Trio (Fresh)Swakopmund Schnitzel (mash was a bit powdery) and the chicken strips and salad.(No complaints) Excellent sunset. Will definitely recommend.
