Several tables were dirty. And All the iced tea were empty. When i let the workers know there was no tea they just nodded like they knew but did nothing about fixing the problem. It took forever to get our food and it was almost 2pm so not during a lunch rush. Went to leave and there was no tooth picks in the container but a box of tooth picks in visible sight behind the counter. Ordered take-out and service wasn't too friendly, just bland. The food especially the cookies were delicious. Establishment was clean and spacious. Parking lot wasn't big at all. Little bit of an attitude but, damn good food. Furniture spacing was roomy but could be pretty crowded in some spots. When I went the place was packed with locals stating "good cheap food, goto Jenny's" if your in kirbyville look for these folks and chow down. Plenty of spices and flavors in the chicken. Only complaint our order was supposed to have a baked potato and it didn't come with it. But still amazing food can't wait to go back. If you’re looking for some amazing fried chicken with mashed potatoes, mac & cheese and fried okra, this is the spot!! The older lady that runs the register is a hoot and she loves her diamond rings. Depending on when you go there might be a wait, but it’s totally worth it! Had death in family! Ordered 400 PCs of chicken for funeral. I love Jenny's Chicken. My out of town family said it was the best chicken that they ever had. Love your fish/shrimp/burgers, everything! I come here from Beaumont every once in a while to get Jenny’s, the food is normally pretty good but today I came in on 11/2/2023 and one of their employees walked up to my table and told me that I was “ too black & it wasn’t normal “ I was in shock! But the more she talk the more I realize she wasn’t all the way there & may have autism or something which is why I didn’t react . I asked to talk to the supervisor so that I could tell him that he may want to talk to her and explain to her that she shouldn’t walk up to the black customers and tell them things like that!!! Well I waited for him for a while and he never came out. One of his employees said he was “ occupied”. That is horrible customer service because if you’re a manager and is just sitting in the back and a customer needs to talk to you, you can stop what you’re doing and talk to your customer about whatever it is they need you for. I mean I’m a supervisor at my job and I stop whatever I’m doing to handle any of my customers concerns. Anyways the whole thing made me uncomfortable. Probably won’t be back.
