The staff are very welcoming, make you feel right at home. The ambiance is wonderful.
As for food - they have great juices (subject to availability). The quantity of fries is perfect. The cinnabons are delicious. The beef pie is slightly dry. The chicken pie however is absolutely flakey and scrumptious. Their omelettes are well made.
Excellent location in the shade, great place to sit outdoors and have a fun time. The bakery section has a good variety of pastries, the honey almond cake and mango juice are good!! Staff is always smiling and one can spend hours here..
Loved my veggie burger & coffee
It's a nice open space, that's quiet.. the old school music was EXCELLENT!! STAFF was super kind. Cool space to work as well.
Do not order hot water with lemon in a pot, they charge for that. Which makes no sense if I'm having it with something else on the menu. I protested and they tried to refund, in cash, the Ksh 350 I paid (via mobile wallet) for a slice of cake I had had with the hot water. I declined to take the money, the waiter on instruction from manager, placed on the counter and offered to pay Ksh 30 (the coins in the image) for the lemon that came with the water, manager seemed OK with payment for lemon, softening his stance, by saying that "the market price for a Lemon is Ksh 10...".
He then suddenly switched his demeanor (the guy in blue in photo) becoming hostile, and pointed to a sign behind the counter that said "management reserves the right of admission", a sign that replaced "Whites Only" in independent Kenya. Shame.
Otherwise their pastries are great and not too sweet, which I liked. I also observed a lovely cake, they had baked for a client, with a sculpted turtle which was super creative.
Top notch customer service and are flexible to fit your needs. Cozy environment and if your lucky to meet the owner who is the most down to earth person you’ll find. Don’t miss out on this buzzing joint.
The worst service in Diani. You wait one hour for sparkling water even if they know we are always in a group of 8 people, there are 3 sparkling waters.... Location would be nice but with this service they will head nowhere.
It's more of a restaurant than bakery. So on a Monday afternoon (2:00 pm), there was neither bread nor cake. Maybe they do them on orders, but there wasn't none on arrival. I ordered chicken liver and rice... The liver was not fresh and got all mashed up as I tried to cut pieces from it. In other words, it had gone bad or was cooked in advanced and stored and just warmed up when I ordered making it completely over cooked. I had a running stomach after actually. The rice on the other hand was good...
My friends and I ordered two cakes which turned out to be Worst cakes i have tasted. the cakes were not moised as we had ordered, were clumped up together instead of being spongy. The fruit cake did not taste anything like a fruit cake and the blue berry cake was also pathetic, we felt like you were training on our orders, it's better to turn someone away if you are not sure of your ability to bake a certain type of cake, we honestly couldn't eat those cakes, yet they were so expensive. Naivas has way better cakes.
Utterly disappointed. Please improve.
