Delicious Indian food, above normal standards what we get in Germany. Rather long waiting time, but that means it is fresh. The place looks rather basic, but after traveling 2 weeks through Indochina this is one of the best food we had. Empty fotos because we ate everything. Price very fair.

This happened to me on September 5th, 2023
I ate at this restaurant before it moved to its new location. The owner before was a good man.
The new owner is not so good. I ordered a yogurt dish that was not yogurt at all. I asked him why this was so sweet, and he repiled its sweet milk. If you don't have yogurt, tell the customer you don't have it, and you don't bring them sweet milk instead. And my curry dish wasn't real curry. They used red food coloring, I couldn't even wash the color off my hands.
To finish this review, he thought I would complain and called a group of his Indian friends to watch me eat, so i would be afraid to complain about the poor food and service. The only good thing I ate from this new version of Jasmin Restaurant was the Nan bread, so basically they stole my money by giving me things I didn't order and brought his gang of friends to make me afraid to complain.

Well this might surprise but having arrived in Pakse I did not believe that I would actually run into a restaurant which to this day served the best Indian food I had ever tasted. If I ever return to Lao whatever it takes I will make my way back to this restaurant.

The teenage waitress who took our order was miserable and distracted, and then forgot to bring our drinks. We had to ask and they were eventually delivered by a young boy who had to be prised away from his video.
Other diners were forgotten completely by the staff who were sitting around, more interested in their phones.
However, the food was good and a decent price. Overall, ok if you’re not in a hurry, are relaxed about poor service (and the use of child labour).

The butter chicken I got was amazing. I almost never eat Indian food, but it was delicious! Just you have to wait a bit for your meal.

It really takes some time and some of the food is not spiced very well. But we had the Butter Chicken (rice needs to be ordered extra), noodle soup with chicken and a watermelon shake and that was tasty and price ok
the food is cheap but not good, i had the vegetable biriyani and it was at least edible but not enjoyable. their coffee was the worst ive had in laos, the staff that take ur orders were very helpful. i would recommend to eat somewhere else

I would not recommend this place. Though the waitress was lovely and the food was okay. I would suggest they hire better cleaners as I ordered a mango shake which I found out after drinking had mould/dirt in the bottom of my glass. They tried to convince me that it was first a sugar cube, then sugar syrup, then carbonated water. I am not impressed. *Edit* 2 days later I have food poisoning, which I can only assume is this place because of the state of the glass.
