I love their food we have been going there for over 30 years they have different things on the menu u can’t get other places. I love their calamari ,coconut chicken, sesame sweet potato balls, ribs I could go on but no room I would recommend it highly. I’ve been going to this restaurant for the past 20 years. The food is delicious and my family really loves it. Waitresses are polite. It is clean and neat and I highly recommended for any visitor traveler or anybody that just wants to enjoy a good meal with a great variety of tasty food. I went there - what a mistake!!! Lady/owner asks to pay before you're actually able to see what food is there. Mean Lady also asked how much I want to leave as a tip/gratuity. Told her that I'll leave a tip on a table depending on a service and food. Mean Lady said - "you cheap". Cool you get insulted and stripped from money before you even get to eat. Luck of decorum is this place domain. Rice on a sushi was dry/dehydrated/ hard/discolored like it been there for a couple of days. All of the stuff that I tried was horrible, not fresh. Spinach didn't taste like spinach, mashed potatoes didn't taste like mashed potatoes, each end every single item tasted was not what it supposed to taste like. Only thing that I can recommend were a jello( I guess it cannot be screwed up that easy). Not a place I would recommend to anybody. To sum it up: -food old, dry, not tasty -service: mean lady/owner insulting potential customers - price:paying up front and asked for tip before you're seated. Probably had a runaway customers in the past (I wouldnt blame customers )(IT IS A TRAP!!!!)-expensive -cleanliness: toilet was dirty as a main dining area. I can just imagine what is kitchen like. - furniture: a lot of damage to a tables, seats my sit was taped up with black duct tape and uncomfortable, squeaky. That tape got stuck to my clothing. Is there Health Department to see what is going on there? Would not recommend it to my enemy. Will not come back. They make you pay a soon as you walk in, which is understandable with how some people are but they also make you tip first too, which we only got seated and drinks without any other interaction. The food overall is pretty terrible. The sushi was dry and all the other food tasted stale like it was sitting out for hours, even when some of it looked new. When me and my girlfriend walked in they immediately made us pay for our lunch which is no biggie. We sat down waitress was super friendly. They had a ton of food and we soon found out why it was not busy and the food was room temperature. I’ve been in the restaurant industry my whole life and I know when food is good or bad. Food was horrible the only good food was the clams and mussels but not hard to mess up making those two things. The mens bathroom stunk like sewage and half the toilets were clogged and was very messy. This place should honesty be reported to the department of health I highly recommend not stopping here if you can help it. I’ve never in my life ever been somewhere this bad in my entire life. Okay...I'm no critic, but I know bad food when I see it. I'm a lover of Asian food, so for me to say it's bad...it's gotta be bad. So it was $38 for myself and one other person to eat there. The food was dry, over cooked or under cooked, rubbery, and overall unpleasant. Even the sweet iced tea was terrible. Want a salad with brown lettuce? This is your place. Do you want General Tsos Chicken with nice grainy, sandy texture? This is your place. Even the American food that they had was no good. I'd recommend going to 5-guys next door, or Brothers Buffet in Pottsville if you're looking for a Chinese buffet. Just save your money and go anywhere but here. If y’all in the area you might as well go to McDonald’s right across. The rice smelled like it was rotten. It was mushy. I even asked the lady to taste it herself and she said no because she knew it was bad. She started off saying “well it’s a buffet try something else” and we DID. Everything was nasty. It was not freshly made. She also said she couldn’t refund us because we already took food out. I mean don’t waste money on purchasing food you cannot cook. She eventually was able to give us half back which was still not enough. We left all the food in the table. Please save yourself before you or family get sick. This is not a joke! I have been here during the week and for the holidays. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The food is hot and fresh. They refill items frequently and have a large selection. The used plates are removed from the table quickly and our drinks are never empty. There is booth and table seating available. The ladies room has multiple stalls that have always been clean. Parking is a shared lot with the other stores but we never trouble finding a space. Holidays can be busy but are worth the price for the large selection. I usually like to support small local businesses like this but this might be the worst Chinese buffet I’ve ever been to. My expectations aren’t necessarily super high when it comes to buffets but most of the food here looked like it would get me sick. No wonder they make you pay for your food before you start even eating, people would be asking for their money back. Any of the fast food options nearby would honestly be better. The only reason I’m giving two stars is because my server was really friendly and attentive, it’s just clear the owners are skimping when it comes to the food quality.
