I must have caught them a bad day. The restaurant itself is very picturesque and lively. The menu had plenty favorites to choose from, several people celebrating birthdays there and our server was great. Unfortunately, it seemed that they were out of the things that you would expect a restaurant not to be out of. No straws, no spoons, etc.. that’s just how it goes sometimes but I will definitely visit them again the next time I’m in San Marcos. Menu has changed. Love bringing my family here from out of state. Never disappoints! The atmosphere is great, sit on the patio if you can, views of the river are nice and having a breeze is great. ♥️ love this place, actually beautiful overlooking the river. I had the chicken-chicken fried steak, so moist on the inside and crispy on the outside - perfect. I loved the garlic mash potatoes and the green beans with garlic. I had the sweetest server, Ruby. I appreciated her checking on me often. I will definitely be coming back.

Really nice atmosphere and food was pretty good. There chicken fried steak and BBQ Mac and Cheese are a must haves. Sitting on the patio area is not bad at all at this time of year.
