This place is family owned. Food is fantastic. Best katsu I have had. Worth checking out. I will be back.

What a lovely family joint in Eureka. We got the Katsu and Short Rib and they were excellent. Best Hawaiian in the area! Thanks brother.

I spent way too money on the quality of food I got, I got the teriyaki chicken plate with a side of macaroni salad and for that it was about $20 which is insane. I had ordered beforehand for pickup and I got there 20 mins later. Once I got to the counter the guy literally started making it on the spot and I'm not talking about cooking it up. He literally took out rice from a rice cooker and the meat from a pot and put it all together in a plate. When I walked in it seemed like a family was just chillen in the kitchen, literally stools and chairs in a circle with a baby on a women's lap. From the main counter you can see the kitchen because its all open, the guy was sitting there with them and then came up to me and said he would make it now. He didn't even bother to wash his hands, which I was thinking maybe because he's not directly touching the food but it still seemed unsanitary from the state of how it looked in the kitchen with a literal baby there. I decided to give the food a try, and honestly I regret not just canceling everything on the spot. The teriyaki chicken was Disgusting, it had SO MUCH grease!!!! To the point where all the liquid soaked the entire rice. The "grease" tasted like a mix of soy sauce and something else, it was too salty. Not to mention it had way too much onion strings in it. Its almost like they boiled the chicken together with soy sauce and onions and called it a day. The macaroni salad was the only okay food, it wasnt great though. It tasted very mustardy almost like the potato salad that they sell at walmart. The rice was just plain ol white rice nothing much to it. I honestly could've made all this at home and would've saved myself some money but lesson learned. I'm sure other things on the menu might be good but it's not worth to try any of them for me.
