I loved this place! It's a cozy little spot with indoor and outdoor seating. The server was really nice. We got the chicken and waffles and the oyakadon. Both were REALLY good, full of flavor and good portion sizes. I would DEFINITELY return. It's been the best food on our trip. (Also, I took a bite of the chicken and waffles before taking the picture. It looked and smelled too good for me to wait. Sorry.) Service Dine in Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Good but overpriced. I only ordered Chicken Katsu Kare for a week lunch. The chicken was a little bit dry for what it could be... and for the price. The curry was good. But if you are a cooking enthusiast, you can make a Japanese Kare at home with just a few increments (such a really well made caramelized onions) and have it as good as this one. I like to try dishes from places I hear is good to try to reproduce at home, but this one didn't impressed me much.. maybe will try other things next time. It was good, but not for $30 for only rice, curry and a dry chicken, with no salad or any other thing. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
Great breakfast spot. We had the waffles with berries, the sunrise breakfast with scrambled eggs, side of hash browns, iced matcha with oat, and pu’erh tea. It is on the pricier side at ~$24 per item. Waffles with berries: amazing! You can’t tell or taste that it is made with almond flour. The real star of the dish is the butter; soooooo good! The raspberries jam was a little too overpowering and tart — if that’s your thing you’ll love it. Sunrise breakfast — traditional breakfast with good quality ingredients and it shows; but it’s nothing too fancy or out of the ordinary. The toast was the star, very crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Has brown — nothing special. Tasted straight out of McDonald’s. Iced Macha — really good and flavorful; not too sweet and not too overpowering. Pu’erh — underwhelming but also not sure if I had expectations. It tasted like water with a hint of tea. I wouldn’t buy that again if I come back. Service — the service was fast to get the food out but they were bad on following up on anything and the place was not busy; we were two of about 6 people total. Asked for refills on our waters or for a to go cup, and both took a long time. Not bad but also not great. Overall 3.5 or 4 out of 5. I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here again, but if I’m in the area I wouldn’t mind stopping by. I had lunch there during my vacation in Santa Monica. Found that place online and wanted to check out this asian/American fusion kitchen. The waitress was very friendly, could explain in details what is in the food they serve and helped me to make a decision. The food was delicious. I also hat a Matche tea. Very good! It is pricey but a different food experience from most of the other restaurants. Loved it. 😊 Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes Sandwich

What a great place! Was looking for coffee and a bite and was completely taken off guard by this place. The coffee was excellent and the food they had was completely unique and delicious. I had the sando and it was one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've had. My girlfriend had the Truffle Pasta and were were blown away with how good it was. Never thought about Pasta for breakfast before but it works Service Dine in

Cute cafe - a little on the pricy side but you’re in CA so that’s to be expected and it has a partial view of the ocean (when you sit in the patio area. You get take a seat when you walk in if there’s one available. The breakfast burrito was amazing (I had them put hash browns inside) and I got the hot chocolate too and it was perfectly dark and creamy. Loved my little breakfast stop here! My new favorite LA brunch! Lovely ambience including great service, patio and indoor seats, happy plants and an epic menu! Food and interiors are perfectly styled and fresh. I highly recommend the chilaquiles with avocado and extra cheese, plus a guava mimosa. Service Dine in Meal type Brunch Price per person $20–30

Can we give 6 out of 5? It was great to see that they have restarted dinner service. We really enjoyed all the flavors from our quick dinner and can't wait to go through the rest of the menu. Lovely decor and ambience inside, outdoor high table seating within its sidewalk patio. Looking forward to coming back soon! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

What a surprise! From all four places visited for breakfast in Santa Monica area, this one was truly the best! Their chai latte, latte, and food was amazing! The avocado toast with poached egg was excellent! Well-seasoned, super crunchy delicious bread! The almond flour waffle was so so good! And the egg sandwich with aioli was a total surprise,so good! The only thing the Interstellar could improve is to toast that bread. Other than that, it's a lovely bistro with surprisingly scrumptious food! Highly recommend!
