I've been to other locations and had a great meal. I always order risotto, but tonight it was...off. I told our server it was too sweet and she took it back and brought me another without my asking, but it was just not right. I ended up finishing my partner's lasagna because I couldn't eat it. I would have preferred they remove it from our check, but it is what it is. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5

Just down in Burlingame to eat at the Il Fornaio Italian Restaurant and deliver a Spingley Jardinare leg, and a new set of wheels to my old pal Cambo Deeanreble so he can get his 67 Fielddosser back on the track. He told me the Il Fornaio Italian Restaurant is about the best place for pasta on the Peninsula, so that's where I'm going. And I'll tell you....the food was Spectacular, and the service was simply Amazing! ☆☆☆☆☆
We've been to the Il Fornaio chain in the past few years and have been generally impressed with the service and food, prior to this visit we have dined at the Santa Clara location. On this visit at the Burlingame location we were, once again, very happy with the quality of the food and the service. I had a steak and my wife had fish both were cooked very well. Probably one of the better dishes I had in the last few years! We had a few cocktails which were excellent! Parking in the area was a little hard but we ended up parking in the Caltrain parking lot opposite. It saves you trying to find parking in the smaller lots which seemed to be pretty full at 6pm on the Saturday we visited. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

The environment, atmosphere, and service are all good. As for the food, we ordered three types of pasta, and two of them had excellent texture and taste. However, the other one was completely unacceptable as some of the pasta was still sticking together, which can be considered a basic mistake. Luckily, the Tiramisu dessert was smooth and delicious, making up for the score. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $50–100 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
