I always have a great experience here. This visit, my online order did not appear on the stores computer, but THE Ike, personally resolved it, and quickly made me another, also offering to include a bag of chips for the wait- which was not long at all. You can tell Ike cares about his customers. Also, the new hours are WAY better than before.

I've really tried to give this sandwich shop a chance, but it almost always disappoints. Orders take forever, the place seems barely open, and the food is only good on rare occasion. I got onion rings the last time I went, and what I got was awful, like you took frozen onion rings made to be fried, and just lightly toasted them. They were soggy and gross, and I would not have ordered them if I knew what I was getting. Its a shame, especially because the staff seem cool and polite, but it's just poorly managed, it often seems that no one knows what they are doing, or they just weren't trained well. Service takes forever, the prices are going up, and the sandwiches are okay at best. I'd recommend almost any other sandwich shop in Chico, there are so many local joints that provide a much better experience than Ike's ever has. If you care about love and sandwiches, go support them instead!

BEWARE!! This place serves RAW chicken. I was halfway through my sandwich when I realized the entire chicken breast was raw. My friend ordered the chicken tenders and those were raw as well. When we mentioned to the employees that the chicken was raw they laughed and said “oh no we’ve served these breast’s to multiple customers today” then proceeded to cut every chicken breast open to find that they were RAW. Keep an eye out for a lawsuit Ike’s.

What I ended up eating was good, but they were out of a number of sandwich ingredients (bacon, provolone, cranberry, slaw, and one or two other things) and their soda machine was down. I'm sure that the first person that tried to take our order was new, either that or incompetent, as we placed our orders (there were 4 of us) before it being noted that each of the sandwiches we'd ordered included an item that they were out of. He never said anything, we realized it. They brought out another employee to rectify the situation (cancel our original order and place an all new one).
The best part of the experience was that they offer Dutch Crunch bread. They are one of the only sandwich shops in Chico that offer it.
