First time we came here and we were impressed of this IHop to start with the service was awesome the workers are very kind and polite second, the food was really good also the place is beautiful I recommend this for Breakfeast. The website says they open at 7am everyday. The sign in the door says the same thing. So I go there at 7:20am thinking I would give them time to settle and heat up the grille. Etc. to my surprise the doors were locked. No one showed up until 7:40. Then I go in and place my order, which was a complete disaster. I order two meals. One for me and one for the wife. Sirloin tip w/eggs and quick two egg breakfast with turkey sausage. He rings it up as sirloin tips w/eggs and a side of turkey sausage. Luckily I looked at the price before swiping my card. I had to explain my order to him four times because he barely speaks English. Then finally he gets it right. Order was ready in about ten minutes which was good. But how do you run a business that is not open until 40 minutes after the posted time and have servers who barely speak English? Yes I know I love in Bay Shore and there is a heavy Hispanic presence here. I can deal with the language barrier. But at least open the doors on time. Made me late for work today. I won’t be ordering from this particular restaurant anymore. I’d rather go further away to get better service. At least the other IHOPs open on time. Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3

Jennifer “Jenn” was our waitress *** Waited a long time for food. Every other one got their food and good service. And we had to ask multiple times for utensils and for drinks forgotten. When we finally got our food it was wrong. She took it back, then after about 20 minutes we asked where it was she said I don’t know, I don’t know what you sent back. Like what ?! Then never came back. Asked for the manager and she walked away cursing. Terrible service. Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3

Food was supposed to be mixed berry topped with lots of fresh fruit. promotion was specifically for the fruit toppings, crepes arrived with sauce that tasted like pure blueberry and only had a few sad blueberries on top. Waitress was embarrassed and didn’t check on the table due to knowledge food was subpar. Feel bad for staff that have to serve such bad food. 2nd time Ive had an issue with a mobile order. First, the order was missing so we had to wait 15 extra minutes for them to get the full order details and have the kitchen make it. Then when it did come out, it was wrong. Biscuits & Gravy came with no gravy and pickles were added to a sandwich where they were requested off. When I asked them to fix it, the staff basically told me there was gravy in the bag, which was a little offputting considering I turned the bag inside out to make sure I wasn’t missing it. They also came back not even 45 seconds later with the “new” sandwich. It was carelessly dismantled to remove the pickles and you could clearly taste that they were just taken off. Ive worked 5+ years as a host & server so I really prefer to let a small mistake go, but they made SO many mistakes in a row and the kitchen/staff clearly weren’t sincere about trying to acknowledge or fix any mistakes. Said we were vegetarian. They put pork gravy on our food. The hash browns were fine. Requested a recook of gravy covered biscuits without pork gravy. They only did one of our purchased biscuits and gave us more potatoes. No common sense. My wife and I shared the only edible biscuit, and one hash brown. We didn’t want to eat the other hash browns, they were fine, but we didn’t want to take advantage of the situation. We just wanted the biscuit and egg remade without pork gravy. I came her with some friend to get food and it was a horrible experience for all of us. We all work in the service industry. There was no table touching, there was hair on my food and the server did not apologize or show any signs of being apologetic, the glasses were dirty and the food was presented in a very sloppy way with the whipped cream falling off onto the table. The server had a very I don’t care attitude and the staff was standing around eating and drinking when there was dirty tables everywhere and people were walking around looking for utensils. There was hair on my pancakes and on my cup and none of it was comped off of my bill. I would not recommend this location to anyone. We ordered the big steak Omelet, cinnamon pancakes, chicken fajita steak and southwest chicken burrito. Everything was very good except the chicken fajita steak- it was as if they forgot to add the ingredients to the eggs until the end and threw everything on top. The southwest chicken burrito was superb especially with cholula hot sauce. They have amazing deals for seniors, which I thought was nice. And special menu after 2!
