I was very hesitant after reading the reviews but we arrived at the Marina Hotel Sunday in the late afternoon and nothing else was open. It was very solid. The catch of the day dinner was great, $30. Was it as good as Roots or Island Chef? No. But if was still very nice. (Do yourself a favor and make a re for Roots 2. You have to order in advance but it's fantastic.) We also had a garlic shrimp pizza which was delightful and would have been a hit at any high end NYC pizzeria, $28 US.
Breakfast was fine. I mean it was eggs and toast but still solid. For $15 it was a little over priced but if you're at the Marina Hotel the convenience is well worth it I thought the coffee was excellent, maybe one of the best I've had anywhere.
The service was attentive and friendly. The views are amazing.
There are a few things that kept me from giving it 5 stars. One was they changed almost $9 US for a large bottle of water that's $1 at the store. That felt a little piggish. There are a lot of bugs, though it's July so there are a lot of bugs all over the island. Not just the mosquitos but also a lot of flies. Again, that's most places this time of year. Lastly, the drinks from the bar were uninspiring to to kind. Brooklyn mixology it's not.
There are tables "inside" with ceiling fans that really help when it's warm and high tops in the sun right on the water.
22 EC for a can of beer? Seriously? We first came to this port 25 years ago and it was always full and we always felt comfortable and welcome. Unfortunately it's no longer like that, you're just a money bag, everything is overpriced and I'm not surprised that there's nothing going on anymore. Expensive and unfriendly.
Excellent late afternoon lunch. Service great. Burger, jerk chicken sandwich, Caesar salad with chix all great. View amazing. Cool breeze.

Honestly, this is NOT the place to go to if you’re looking to be satisfied in anyway. The service was excellent which is the only reason I’m giving this 2 stars. The food was alright, the price is ridiculous. Do yourself a favour and just go to the mangrove restaurant that’s near here. Unless you’re trying to spend 100$USD for 1 drink and 2 meals. Again I want to reiterate the locals that work here are amazing people. Not sure who the hell own this place but like your food isn’t worth the price. This place must have an ego because of all the resort goers that probably never leave the property and only go here to eat. We ordered a pizza and it was def a frozen pizza… and it was 30$USD lol

I can only rate the bar. But most likely the only place, where you may get a perfect Espresso Martini. The waiters were outstanding and all other Drinks were great too.

The food is great, the service was speedy and friendly (which on this island is hard to find), and the views of the marina, bay, and water are fantastic! Not to mention, they have tables on the deck that have glass on the floor so you can sit literally over the water and see fish swimming underneath you. We got the coconut shrimp appetizer to share. The shrimp was firm and fresh, the coconut batter was sweet and crunchy, and the dipping sauce had a nice little kick to it. I got the HH club sandwich with fries was tasty and the fries were perfectly salted and crispy. My fiance got the shrimp scampi and said it had great flavor but was a little light on the shrimp. Got a caramel creme to end the evening, think of it as a creme Brulee without the Brulee aspect but a warm caramel sauce on top instead. All in all, very tasty and we will definitely go back!

I rarely leave poor reviews but this place was a huge rip off and nearly ruined our trip. We were there for my dad’s 80th birthday and were planning on going to Doolittle’s but stumbled across hurricane hole and decided to enjoy the bay side view. Although the service was not great, that was not the main issue. The main issue is that they gave us menus with $ signs, but did not indicate whether they were in US dollars or EC dollars. The prices were high and we assumed if it wasn’t designated that it was in local currency. My mother and I split the shrimp appetizer, one sandwich and two diet Cokes and it cost us $75. It was outrageous. When we questioned them about the misleading prices, our concerns were met with a shrug. Given that every other restaurant we went to had prices clearly identifying the currency, we felt like this venue was purposefully deceptive. I would highly advise you to stay away.
Wants to look “fancy” but food selection is fairly limited, pricey and service is really slow. Would not really recommend unless you are a resident and is included in your “food & drinks” prepaid package.
