My husband and I were excited to grab dinner, but our experience left us disheartened. The lemon pepper wings were overwhelmingly salty, making them difficult to enjoy. Despite being labeled as a favorite on the menu, the Greek Salmon salad failed to meet our flavor expectations. Even a simple request for extra dressing resulted in all the dressing being served on the side, detracting from our meal experience. It was amazing! I had no idea how great it was! And my service made the 5 stars an easy 10 out of 5 if allowed! Thanks so much Kelly! She gave great tips on what she suggested to order and all were prefect! Especially the mushrooms, I can't wait to come again to order with my daughters! We have eaten at Houlihan’s twice in the last 2 months,. The service was great, our bartender Kelly was phenomenal, she was very attentive and ensured our food came out in time. Came in for restaurant week and after comparing regular menu prices to the restaurant week menu, we realized it wasn’t really a deal. In fact, for most cases it actually cost LESS money to order the items listed on the RW menu at regular price. This seemed a little shady. Otherwise, we had a good experience. Service was awesome, Olivia took great care of us and we appreciated her friendliness and she seemed to enjoy her job. The food was good. The seafood dip was the highlight. Burger was good. Stuffed chicken was pretty good. Green beans were a little hard and could’ve been steamed longer. Overall, the food was pretty average. Nothing that blew us away, but we’d probably come back and try some other things. Atmosphere was clean and lively. Drinks were a little pricey for the pours. My fiancé a couple of friends and I went here on Thursday for restaurant week for a friendly get together/ outting. All I can say is I won't be going back because it was very disappointing. I wasn't worried about the food killing me or being bad to the point of making me sick, which is good, although the food wasn't good. It tasted about Applebee's quality at best but was about Mccormick and Schmidt's type of pricing (overall cost was just over $113). The food wasn't very presentable when it was given to us, I personally got the duo filets 4oz steaks with potatoes and green beans. I ordered them medium rare, one of the steaks was burnt and over cooked throughout, could be compared to jerky the other was medium-well done somewhere between. The potatoes were okay but I could easily make better at home without putting in much effort and the green beans were passable. My fiancé dish was similarly underwhelming (picture shown) I didn't take a photo of mine as I really wasn't impressed with the presentation and kind of wish that I did because I was as disappointed as I was. They did although get me another steak to replace my jerky (way over cooked steak) the new one was cooked medium rare and was decent. Overall not a great experience and very unlikely that we'll be back. The server was great though! Best part of the place overall and we have her a good tip to match! The other portions of the restaurant definitely weren't great. The food was a 2/10 at best server was a solid server, because of her I'll say overall experience was 3 or 4 out of ten. Update: Due to my horrible experience at Houlihan's (Leawood Location - see separate review) I'd decided I was done with them as a whole. Well as the universe would have it my nephew texted and invited me to lunch and guess where he wanted to go? Of course Houlihan's but the Lee's Summit Location. That is the only reason I agreed. We were greeted by the hosting staff and seated where we wanted promptly. Amanda came over and introduced herself as our server with a great smile and personality. My nephew ordered chicken and avocado egg rolls and I ordered the Shrimp and Crab dip. OMG both were fabulous!!!! Highly recommend the Shrimp and Crab dip - PLEASE KEEP IT ON THE MENU!!! For lunch he got Chicken Picatta and I got Fish and Chips. Both dishes were as equally amazing as the appetizers. The service was so great that Amanda and the rest of the staff restored my trust in the Houlihan's brand. Victoria the manager graciously took the time to come over and hear about my experience which was great and she thanked us for coming in and allowing them to serve us. Outstanding experience all the way around!!! I'll now go back to Houlihan's but not the Leawood location. Definitely would return to this location. Original Review: Ordered take-out from this location and the process was seamless. My husband ordered the Sedona Pasta add Shrimp 🍤 and I had Thai Wings with a side Garden Salad 🥗. When we arrived our order was brought out promptly with great customer service. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Upon arrival at home 🏡 the order was accurate, fresh and hot. The taste was delicious and we felt we got a good value for our money. We'll definitely return again. Check them out. P.S. To Houlihans: You didn't bring back the Chicken Fried Chicken, Mashed Potatoes and Garlic Green Beans. I'm so disappointed because that dish is the BOMB 💣! PLEASE BRING IT BACK!!!!! We visited on Thanksgiving Evening. The staff was super-charged with smiles and enthusiasm. The food was very good, in fact it is on every visit. We were a party 7 and had an elderly family member out away from nursing care and out on the town for the holiday. It could not have gone any better. Friendly and efficient service, delicious food and reasonable prices. We each had the So Cal Fish Tacos that come with soup or salad. Salad was crisp and fresh. The fruit was ripe and sweet.
