I came with my family including my sister who recently graduated, she was the one that recommended it and I was definitely not disappointed. If I lived in East Lansing I would come back for sure. Price per person $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes Fish & Chips
I have been here many times always good food and service. Service was great, had fish and chips tonight. The fish was heavily breaded, was left in deep fryer to long. The breading was a little burnt, which left the fish tasting burnt. Price per person $10–20 Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Nashville Hot Chicken

Visiting from Iowa and I can't say how badly I want a HopCat out by us. The Rodeo Clown was one of the best burgers I've had the pleasure of enjoying. The dipping sauces were delicious and had a great variety to choose from. That was some of the best ranch I've had too. But with the seasoning blend on the fries it almost felt like a crime to dip them. Service was a little slow but reasonable considering Michigan v Michigan basketball was on. Despite this, Josie was great, mindful of any potential allergies based on our preferences. Even better, receiving the check with the amount was a pleasant surprise. Very good value. I'll be sure to visit again the next time I'm out this way. Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes Hopkittens Junior Cheeseburger
what can i say, we all know it, the fries here are fire. love the cheese dip, love the cronch, love the seasoning on it. i came here quite a few times already, always get the fries and the impossible burger (not sure if they r vegan ir vegetarian), but im obsessed everytime. the portion is fair, im full with just those, but i can see it could be a mid size portion for some. my friend got the oasta here once as well, and it was nicely cooked and seasoned, and again, the portion was fair. the vibe there is really chill, its like a mix of restaurant and bar and gives off inn of the 1700s (if that makes sense). the service is nice, waiters/waitresses are pretty friendly all the time, always check in on u. the wait is ok, its not too much of a draining wait, its pretty fast pace but consider the popularity of the place, its understandable. bathroom and sanitation wise, i think they keep up well. overall, 4.6/5 Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Coming here has always been a great time, usually. Great vibe and good food. We had a Nashville chicken sandwich, roasted red pepper bisque, cosmic fries, the double. The Nashville sandwich was cooked perfectly and drenched in the perfect amount of sauce, but unfortunately there was way more breading than chicken. The pickles and bun were great. The double was great, perfectly done with the right amount of cheese. The red pepper bisque and the cosmic fries were hot and filling, and not greasy. The spice was seasoned. The reason I gave this place two stars was due to the fact that a server accused us while a meal was finishing up for stealing a table without the hostess. They were accusatory and not friendly, and never apologized for their actions. We only waited because we were waiting pay for our food, which was also taking a long time. Overall the service was poor, and as much as the food was great I will not be returning due to the service I received. Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes Hopkittens Junior Cheeseburger
Great , host. service quick, I ordered Brisket Tacos, a bit overpriced for the amount of Brisket each had, I tried flour and corn tortillas. The slaw was maybe 2 teaspoons, not what I expected. I had to ask for salsa or sarza they were bland for my taste, but the waitress did bring pico de gallo. It was okay, and no spice (heat) tacos should have the option! My sons ordered the Nashville Chicken they enjoyed their meals, a bit pricey in my experience, but they treated them! Drinks, we're ok, nothing special Margarita and Berry vodka drink. I did tasted 1 with berry it tasted like diet artificial sweetner, not my choice. I was hungry , and the fries and cheese sauce were tasty. Very trendy, older crowd, taking their kids out for a quick meal. BTW, THURSDAY IS $8 Burger & Beer limited choices! Great, to have feedback, We have been back in Royal Oak, close to home! Hop Cat is a pretty great place for beers and bites. They have a plethora of beer options that you can’t go wrong with and they also let you try a sample just in case you aren’t sure. If you don’t want a beer, they have a full bar as well. Now this is my first Hop Cat and my second location is their Ann Arbor. Both are great. This location has wonderful staff who are very helpful, and the food is hot and ready. You must pay for parking unless otherwise stated but there is plenty of it. Occasionally, they change or add to the menu which is great for frequent goers like myself to try something new once and a while. Their pretzel nuggz with cheese and or their OG fries are crack, you can’t stop eating it. Their burgers are juicy, the grilled cheese they serve has apples and I don’t know why, but it works. Their pie is good as well, the one I’m talking about contains chocolate and peanut butter, I always forget the name, but the taste is righteous! Ohh and did I mention, they also offer beer to go, just saying. Enough said. Price per person $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Madtown Grilled Cheese and Cosmic Fries

First experience at this restaurant a couple days ago. Nice atmosphere. Our waitress, I believe her name was Kaitlyn, was great! Since this was our first time we decided to get a lot of things to share and try. My favorites: brisket tacos, pretzel bites, grilled cheese sandwich, gouda bisque and their fries. My least favorites that I will not get again: both mac and cheeses pictured (not enough sauce and flavor was bland) and the brisket fries (the barbecue sauce was overpowering and very vinegary). I'm not a beer drinker but I decided to try one since they have a big selection, the rainbow sherbert was delicious. It was sour and sweet with a slight bitter beer aftertaste. We do plan to go again to try out the burgers and more beers!
Great atmosphere with TVs. Home brews with a full size bar. Our waiter Jason was amazing! He forgot our side salad but was very kind to still bring it out and took it off our bill!
First time at hopcat. Hostess and waitress were amazing. Kaitlyn was very sweet and kind and helped us out very much. We did have to wait over an hour for the food which pretty much aggravated our party. I had the elotes dip which was absolutely amazing. I also had the Mac and cheese but it was very dry and lacking in taste. I had to ask for more cheese sauce in order for it to be edible. Also the fries are addicting.
