The bartender with the short blonde hair is such a joy. NOT. Only been in there twice. The first time I was on the phone and she said something snarky about my conversation and was wondering why she was even listening. Then tonight on Christmas Eve, I walked in about 9 and all she said was they are closing soon, like she didn't want me to be there. I doubt this place even cares about reviews but I wouldn't suggest this bar to anyone.
What a very nice atmosphere and Friendly staff. Thank you for having #djjazzykat out for Country line dancing night.

They don’t know what Fridays they have open mics and which do so they’ll just relay inaccurate info to you so you show up for a drink. Wasting my time gets you a one star

Great oceanic atmosphere, awesome food & drink specials
Our reunion class met there a month or two ago as a spot we could all agree upon. We are all from Shelton and this location was a spot everyone was familiar with. For the bar it was as if they were just nicely busy. Everyone had their own tabs and spent a lot of money there. What we didn’t know was that on top of the few for shots the bartenders added a “shot prep fee” of $2 a shot ?? I have never heard of this and it was not disclosed up front. They added their own tips onto bills and random increased dollar amounts for what appeared like money they couldn’t account for and they thought no one would notice. We even had some people go back the next day because the owners wouldn’t return their phone calls. The bartenders were perturbed they were busy. Keep an eye on your bill and be prepared for added charges and fees that are not disclosed up front. Too many bars to chose from that are owned by local residents that would never think to do this.
We've gone there a bunch of times and usually love it. Great vibe, great food. Sometimes the bartenders play favorites but that's anywhere you go. Tonight we waited 40 minutes for two plates of tacos when no one else was there. The bell rang and after 5 minutes I asked the bartender to check and she told me it would be out soon. I saw our food sitting in the kitchen and she proceeded to take care of other customers for 10 minutes. Our food was cold by the time she finally got it. Definitely doesn't represent the norm there but if this was our first time we would never go back.

I gave this 4 stars for being a good neighborhood bar. The nachos came out in a cake pan and could easily feed 4 people. They boast about their cheese steaks, so we tried one. It was good and the bread seemed very similar to Pat's Steak of Philadelphia.

The owner has done a fabulous job since taking over! They run different events. There is truely something for everyone.
Comfortable environment for someone who doesn’t drink. Food was great. Nice big portions. Only downfall was the bathroom needs to be cleaner. But great experience and would go back again.
Clam chowder was blend, lobster roll was over cooked, took forever to get a drink in a smaller wrong cup for same price, i would not come back!
