I LOVE the fact Holt's began in 1962 with Cecil & Lucille Holt. Today, this family own business continues to provide such an excellent service and more importantly “Warm & Fresh & Delicious donuts”, fresh cookies, & the best cakes around! I am a goggle reviewer and wants to provide my honest opinion on business. After visiting and comparing other places in this town; HOLT’s donuts is the 100% Winner! I have an appreciation for the outstanding customer service and promptness provided by the staff. If you're looking for a good place for fresh and yummy donuts, this is the place! Great selection and lots of specialty donuts, cronuts etc. Great location and plenty parking space. You have definitely gained a new customer who will refer all of her friends to Holt’s Sweet Shop!
They never ever clean the glazer for the donuts. I know, I used to work there. The glaze they use for the plain glazed is the same icing they use for months straight. When the glazer runs low, instead of draining out the old glaze to cycle it out with the new, they just dump new glaze on top of the old. No use of FIFO here (First In First Out). It’s also stored at room temperature 24/7. Every single donut in store gets glazed, on top of getting iced, so no donut is safe. Every product in the store isn't made fresh aside from the actual donuts themselves. Everything else is made in an offsite location 24-48hrs in advance and then sits in a case until it is either sold or goes stale. They fired their only good cake decorator over a year ago, which was one of the few good things this location had going for them. The owners of the original Holts Sweetshop are not the owners of this location. It looks like these owners are more interested in creating a small chain out of the business rather than putting out a decent product. The Coffee is terrible, you’d be better off going to the gas station. If this is your idea of a decent donut, go try Dixie Cream Donuts across town over by the college. Sure it doesn't have all the cutesy colors and decor, but the authenticity and quality speaks for itself 👌🏼 Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 5
Amazing donuts and products! Some people say there isn't an allergy warning, but there actually is right on the display case, lol.

The donuts were delicious and tasted freshly made. Staff was friendly, too. Donuts were reasonably priced. Looking forward to my next visit. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Never have I been the first customer in a donut shop, and all of the Donuts are cold the moment they open. The person who rang me up was extremely rude. I wouldn't pay over $30 for donuts that are mediocre at best, cold, and terrible customer service. Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2
This is the place to go for your sweet tooth. The cinnamon rolls are warm and fresh. The donuts are DELICIOUS AND EVER SO FRESH.

Awesome family owned Doughnut and sweet shop. Their Point of Sale (POS) system accidently charged our card twice. They were so kind and apologetic about it and quickly located both charges and refunded the duplicated one. Our kids love coming here and we will be returning again and again.
New edit to the review. Better than Dunkin donuts but still not the same as when they first opened. I would say they are average when you compare them to other donuts I have had in the past.

The caramel donut is DELICIOUS! Fresh glaze donut with fresh homemade caramel. Amazing.
I will never understand why they don't have a "May contain nuts" sign or list the type of nut(s) being used in that particular dessert. I got a Chess Square that had pecans (which I'm allergic to) without knowing because the label only said "Chess Square". Luckily I saw that before I bit into it. Ridiculous.
