Great dining experience. First rate food. Momas were the best we’ve ever had and the vegetarian thali was excellent. Generous portions, subtly spiced, really enjoyable. Friendly people too. The owner introduced himself and shared stories about his Nepali in-laws. Don’t miss the rice pudding, grandma’s special recipe! We’ll be back. I have almost visited every Indian, Nepali restaurant in and around Boston. Today I ordered a goat biryani and clearly they don’t know how to make a biryani. This was the worst biryani I ever had till now. There was a very overpowering taste and smell of turmeric, didn’t taste anything other than the turmeric. Had to throw away the biryani and snack for tonight. Hope I would get a refund for that. Horrible taste. Not even close to a biryani. Biryani had bell peppers and green pees in it. Who puts such things in a GOAT BIRYANI. Horrible dish. Please don’t order this dish here. A truly disheartening experience. We tried their Nepali dishes on the menu 1. Chicken momo spicy - delicious, not too spicy and the sauce was extremely flavorful 2. Chow mein chicken - good balance of chicken and vegetables, the noodles were the perfect texture 3. Choylla - first time having a dish like this it's cold chicken with the spiciest sauce heavy in red chillies and onions. It was soooo good, definitely getting it every time I am back. Avoid if you cannot handle spice. 4. Bhuton - the smokey flavor sets this dish apart, incredibly flavorful. The organ meat was a bit chewy but other than that delicious. We will be back. The place is tiny but they manage the flow of people well. Highly recommend trying the Nepali dishes they are so unique! This place is a gem! From the early 2000s R&B bops playing on the speakers to the friendly waiters, the atmosphere is 10/10. But the main show stopper is the excellent and fresh food. The wings are the best I have had since moving to Boston, and the curries are delicious. This place is great for a date night or fun dinner out with friends or relatives. They have several gluten free or dairy free dishes. Definitely would recommend. Terrible food and untrained staff. The samosas I got were cold at the core, which means they can’t even microwave a staple Indian appetizer properly. The food I ordered was terrible in taste. Everything I ordered was finger food and yet they gave me one piece of napkin laid on a thin plastic plate. It was absolutely cheap. You can be cheap, but you gotta have good food to overcome it. The manager-esque person was heavily catering most of his time to a bigger table and the rest of the staff was squandering around not knowing what to do. It was clear they weren’t trained well because I saw one person scratching her bum walking from one table to another. I seriously wonder how this place has such a high rating. Don’t waste your money here. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Everything we got ( spicy momo, goat curry and punjabi wings) were amazing!! All the flavors were balanced and worked well. The owner was incredibly welcoming. We got to try his wife’s rice pudding desert and that was the perfect end to the meal. Definitely will be going back! Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

Himalayan Kitchen was an absolute gem of a find! Every dish we tried was bursting with delicious flavors. While the lack of weekend reservations and the small dining space might mean a bit of a wait, trust me, it's all worth it once you taste the amazing food! I highly recommend trying the spicy momos or anything with their grilled chicken – simply divine!
