Lived in town a little over three years and driven by countless times. Finally decided to make it a destination for an early dinner. We arrived around 5:00 on a Tuesday and the placed was staffed for a Friday rush. I has the Smoked 'Santa Maria' Tri tip and my wife has the BLTA. The Tri-tip comes with a Roasted Buternut Squash with Brussel Sprouts. (I detest Brussel Sprouts) So I substituted sautéed baby carrots. I ordered the Tri-tip medium rare and it was slightly over that. It was delicious with and without the hatch chili salsa. The carrots were sautéed al dente and had an interesting flavor that neither my wife could identify we asked our waitress how they were cooked and it turns out the flavor was cilantro. Since my wife only ate half of her BLTA I had an opportunity to sample that as well. It was also delicious. Of both entrées the thing that will bring me back is the Roadside Fried Pies.
