Wonderful rustic Norwegian bistro. Offers a pre set menu providing samples of local delicacies excellently prepared and executed. Waiter was extremely knowledgeable and described every dish presented in great detail outlining the ingredients and process followed to produce them. Wow. What crunchy and flavoursome chicken! And the cauliflower vegan alternative… my god!!! Who do you have working in that kitchen!!!!!!!! Coming from London I feel like it was a bit tricky to impressed by food a few times in Tromsø, but this place blew my mind. The dimmed lights make for a cosy dinner setting or if you would like a nice drink, the bar is separate. Although it look dressy from the outside, the atmosphere inside is relaxed and easy-going. You can be whoever you want to be. The hosts explained every single item on the menu very well and once it’s served to you, they explain it again. A really nice personal touch. We enjoyed smoked beetroot topped with Parmesan which was a delight to the palette - an earthy taste and the nutty elements made it crunchy and sweet. Oh the croquets were played beautifully with the mouth-watering pea purée like a work of art. A true gem to Tromsø. Do not miss this place if you are in the city.
