Reopened all remodeled recently with new owners, place looks nicer but but wasn't to impressed with the menu options /food very small limited 1 page menu probably easier for them but wasn't impressed. We wanted to stop in and check it out there since it has recently just opened back up under new ownership. It is totally done over and looks nice (but I loved the old look too). We just got an appetizer, which was their bread and hummus. OMG!! Both were homemade and soooo good!!! The bread was warm, the hummus had a perfect garlic taste. So good. I will definitely get that again. The service was very good. They were friendly and on the ball!! When I first got there, I was the only one there. That was fine, I was meeting my friend there. We started talking and the next thing I know the place was packed!! They had music too!! They were really good. They weren't so loud you coudn't hear the person next to you either. Quite a step up from it's beginning's! Fabulous food and drinks!! The service is top notch!! So bright and cheerful inside!! AND NOW .....they have an elevator that goes to the outside top deck!! I can't wait to enjoy that!!! Nothing like the original....2 thumbs up 👍 👍 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

THE FOOD IS TERRIBLE. The only food items on the menu that are good are their pizza and smash burger. They fry their chicken in some weird grainy substance that is very unusual. I ordered the Mac and cheese with chicken and it was extremely overpriced and very underwhelming. It lacked flavor and had some weird “breadcrumb” type substance on top which was extremely tough small grainy things… almost like fried pieces of rice? It was very strange and made the entire meal inedible. The next time we went I decided to play it safe and ordered the chicken and waffles. I figured it would be difficult to mess this up. It was the WORST chicken and waffles I’ve ever had. It was absolutely drenched in sweet and sour sauce (why sweet and sour sauce I do not know) and the serving of chicken was far too small to justify a $23 entree. Again, the chicken was fried in some very odd substance that ruined the entire meal. Everyone at the table went around and tried each meal and it was unanimous- worst dish on the menu. I will say however, the cheese tots appetizer is very good, but you only get 5 small bite size pieces for $13… delicious but far too expensive. I understand this is a newly renovated establishment but we are in middleboro… how are you justifying these price points? We live nearby and were very excited to have a new local place nearby but we will only be getting pizza from here (if anything) in the future. The food is NOT good and VERY overpriced for the quality. The waitstaff were nice, but no one could answer any questions we had about the menu. They should be knowledgeable of what they are serving- and I would recommend taste testing some of these items before serving them to customers. We won’t be back. The chowder was awesome. Lots of fresh clams. Fish and chips were ok, but the batter was really too thick, like Chinese food. My wife loved the chicken sandwich. It is a bit loud in there all hard surfaces bounce the noise around. Good service!! My hubby & I and friend Chris happened to do a drive by to check out the new Hideaway and the sign said Open much to our surprise! Little did we know, It was their opening day about 1pm. So we decided to pop in and have lunch and see the digs. Well we couldn’t believe our eyes. It’s so bright and beautiful. We did a tour and saw that awesome deck upstairs and second bar that will be be open to the outside with fully collapsible sliding windows. The new owner, Bo, gave us the scoop that there will be entertainment in the summer months on the deck. He told us how he bought the building hoping to restore it. Well Bo you gave this place a whole new life. Great job! We had a great lunch at the bar and enjoyed chatting with our bartenders who are excited too. We were blown away by the whipped feta cheese appy served with piping hot homemade pita bread. I predict This will be their signature item. You’ve gotta try it. We split the beet salad, also delicious, with the dip and it was a great lunch. Hubby had the grilled chicken Cesar salad & loved it. Hefty portion too. I enjoyed a canned vodka soda that was yummy. Bo is partnering with the owner of smuttynose brewery (New Hampshire based) and will be offering up some great craft beers. We are planning our 1st dinner on Friday night and can’t wait! Atmosphere was a 10/10. Service was dialed in with very attentive servers. Good beer selection to go with their awesome bar pies! We also had wings and guac. Awesome experience. Can’t wait for the upper deck to open up in the spring. We will definitely be back soon. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
