If you're looking for good BBQ this is the place. The ribs, brisket, lots of homemade sauces. Green beans were fantastic, had a few other sides couldn't say anything bad about anything we had here. You can smell the smoke coming out of this place and it's yummy. The peach cobbler is a amazing dessert, huge portion. Haywood Smokehouse gets a 5-star rating! The brisket burger was incredibly rich and tasty, and the pulled pork was moist and bursting with flavor. The sides were equally impressive, especially the collard greens, green beans, and coleslaw—each a delicious complement to the main dishes. Notably, Haywood Smokehouse goes beyond great food; their dog-friendly outside area makes it a perfect spot for pet owners. Enjoying a fantastic meal with a welcoming atmosphere for both humans and their furry companions adds an extra layer of appeal to this already stellar dining experience. To top it off, the banana pudding was a wow-worthy treat. A must-try for anyone craving mouthwatering barbecue with a side of exceptional service! The food was fabulous, especially the brisket! The wait staff was pleasant, but delivery of food to the table was slow. The sauces need to be labeled better. Poorly marked and faded letters on the tops of the containers visible in one photo. I'm sad my brisket photo was too blurry to post! Will come back@ Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
I had the 2-meet combo (asked for ribs and brisket). All in all I enjoyed the food. The server was awesome too. I did not like the brisket was too salty for me (and I LIKE salt), and the ribs did not 'fall off the bone' as I would expect, however, both were very tasty. As a side I had their potato salad which I would HIGHLY recommend. I liked it A LOT, as well as the coleslaw (I took some from my son ;) and was great). As for the Mac-n-Cheese - it was tasty but almost room temperature and I like it way warmer or even hot. All in all I liked it, music was country cool, and we had a very good time. Would recommend it and will definitely go again when in town. Was a little surprised to find a “house” turned into a BBQ joint.. but it was actually really neat! The food can’t be described it was so good😋 the Brisket was some of the best I’ve ever had, like a good 9.8 out of 10… Service was very friendly and quick. Prices ain’t bad at all either. Will definitely be back if I’m in the area again. The place is very nice, however the food took very long to be served, almost an hour from the order time. Also, the brisket was too salty and the mac and cheese was a bit cold. The chicken was great. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

The smokehouse looks like a big house when you're on the road. You'll drive around the back side for parking and walk through the back door to the host stand to ask for a table. There's covered outdoor seating that is mostly picnic tables and various lawn furniture and inside is a mishmash of tables and chairs. Seating feels a bit cramped inside and out, but that's not a big deal. You'll sit down, order something to drink, and then order off of a great selection for a menu. Food comes to you on disposable trays (everything but the glasses are disposable, even inside). I'm not going to lie, the first time we ordered and got everything in those trays I kinda felt like I was at a family reunion from which there was no escape. But the food is tremendous. Each bite is worth savoring and you'll get plenty of bites to savor. The staff is FANTASTIC and friendly and that nagging feeling that if you don't eat a helping of old Aunt Edna's tuna salad, she WILL notice and you WILL hear about it until you're the last scion of your line (and if you do you'll definitely be doubled over for a day or two)... I digress. Go here if you like BBQ. Go here if you kinda like BBQ. Or don't go here until after I've been served, because it does tend take a bit longer to be served here than in many restaurants, but that's okay. Everything makes up for it. Oh my goodness! Holy BBQ!!! I just moved to Waynesville and haven’t explored any restaurants. I had the opportunity to feed the missionaries from my church, both from the west coast. We took a gamble by selecting a place to eat. Gamble paid off! We all loved the food, one even devoured the collard greens 🤷🏻‍♀️. Brisket was melt in your mouth delicious. The pork equally delicious. I loved the strawberry chipotle and the japple sauces, although the sauce isn’t needed or required! It was so goods…only a few bites in I asked Chelsea to bring me a two meat platter to go. Our server Chelsea was delightful! I’ll be back for sure!!! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Banana Pudding

Our waiter Jim was amazing as he handled the entire outside dinning area. Sides were delicious and ribs were perfection according to those who ate them. They were out of smoked white chicken meat the day we visited.
