This review is from several months ago and only regarding the host. We've been going to Pebble Beach resorts for ~30 years and have eaten at all of the resort restaurants many times and have never experienced anything like this.
My wife and I wanted to try Hay's Place and sit outside as it was a nice day. We told the host that we'd like to sit outside and he told us that we would have to share a table with others. We asked him why since there were several empty tables available. Again he said that we would have to sit and share a table which was unacceptable, so we left and went to Stillwater's where the hostess treated really well.
We will never go back to Hay's Place!!

Hays Place is one of my favorite restaurants on the Monterey Peninsula. It’s located in Pebble Beach and is absolutely fabulous. The service has always been incredible but the other day, my friend and I had a server that was outstanding. Her name was Karin. Be sure to ask for her and the Tin Can Nachos
