More of a fun grab-a-drink place; they may have some snacks. I usually have a couple beers (good selection!) Hatchet Jack's is a great place to go blow off some steam, and learn a new skill. They also have throwing stars now (fun!) Should you have questions about the league, need tips on your throws, etc the staff is always happy assisting. 😊 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Love this place, awesome place to come de-stress with your friends and have a few beers. They have party rooms, shuffle board, darts, an arcade, all alongside the main attraction of axe throwing. This location has a bunch of pretty cool staff members ready to help you learn the ropes. Would definitely recommend. Price per person $10–20 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We took a trip to a Iowa City for Father’s Day weekend and Hatchet Jacks was on our list of places to go. Wow, we were not disappointed! My wife and I spent an hour and a half chucking axes, enjoying some beverages and having a great time. I would have thought that having a large group might have been to the detriment of the fun factor due to prolonged times between turns but it really seemed that the larger groups were having a ton of fun too. We definitely will be coming back and bringing some friends and family!

Had no stinking clue what to expect walking in but what a fun time it turned out to be!! Went on a double date with friends and every one of us were sticking axes in cottonwood by the 3rd or 4th throw!!! Grrrreat stress reliever!! Different games available. Kinda like darts in a way. Canned cocktails and local iowa craft beers available for purchase. You can order pizzas from pizza ranch right next door. Will definitely go again
