Average chain supermarket with a pharmacy, bakery, flower shop and a Starbucks. Well stocked and a little dirtier than other Harris Teeter stores. Not bad, they had everything I was looking for.
I did my full week's shop at this Harris Teeter (other than a couple of fill in items) and did well. It's not the largest of the HT's in the chain but it definitely meets the standard for cleanliness and friendliness.
Great produce department, though a little smaller. Dry goods were excellent - well stocked and well leveled and with clear prices displayed. Not the same exact layout as my own store but still pretty good. Frozen was tidy and dairy was in great shape.
Prices tend to run a little higher at Teeter than some of their competitors but it is definitely a more pleasant shopping experience.
There shopping carts are terrible…. The wheels on 90% of there shopping carts are just trash…. Please spend a little more money on it… other than that, this place has great selection and is clean. Busy no matter what time you come.
I had an EXTREMELY POOR and DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE at the Highland Shops Harris Teeter location. I am a regular shopper that's now Questioning my loyalty to Harris Teeter. There were vendor coupons on two of my Bolthouse beverages. As I proceeded to checkout; Zamir refused to scan my second coupon. I asked for a manager because he clearly didn't understand the difference between per item and per transaction. Gene came over after speaking to Zamir and rudely stated that I was only allowed to use one coupon per transaction. I stated that I am allowed to use (4) like coupons per transaction, per item. Gene proceeded to get nasty and attempted to embarrass me in front of the other customers. I asked him his name and he proceeded to berate me by saying, "Yeah, Yeah, Yeah I know...you're going to call and yell about me". I said no, I'm going to call corporate in the morning and have a conversation about your lack of professionalism and poor customer service. He wasn't the manager, as I requested. He shouldn't be working with the public and being allowed to be a poor example for the younger and newer staff. Gene stated that he's been with the company for more than (10) years and I can't Imagine how many other customers have experienced his rude behavior and lack of professionalism. I regret not going around the corner to Publix.
Their treatment of their customers is Far Greater than this!!! .
I went in after a long day and wanted some ice cream. We all have those moments. I truly want to thank Danielle for being so nice, smiling and amazing service. Please be gracious of her Thank you!!
I used the bakery for my son’s first birthday. Shana and Corinne were soo easy to work with and helped with platters and other appetizers as well as the most beautiful cakes!! And best part, getting 3 beautiful cakes was half the price of getting one giant cake!!
I have just witnessed the most despicable display of “Christianity” I have ever seen. This grocery store for those who don’t know, is a Christian based North Carolina chain. Loaves of bread and fish are literally in their logo. Today my family and I made a quick stop for some water and noticed a couple and their two children outside the door begging for food. It appears their moment of anguish was far too much for one broken customer who lashed out at the man holding his son, and demanded a manager. The manager quickly goes to remove the family without as much as a loaf of bread for the kids. The mother was far along in pregnancy and walked to her car in tears. Our hearts were completely shattered witnessing the lack of empathy for this family. Upon personally speaking with the front of house manager. She said that’s not what they do. They don’t help people who need the help and she “thinks sometimes they donate to a shelter” but clearly wasn’t sure. This should never be allowed. We don’t know our brothers journey. There is definitely food that was on the way out that they could have donated. And I understand the old saying “if we do this for one, we have to for all” but that’s a lie. Not EVERYONE needs the help. A bag of a few things that are aging out could have fed the family. It’s so simple to be a kind person. It’s so simple to do good deeds. God blesses those who bless others. Clearly this establishment is hiding behind their faith. This is so disheartening, I will never support this business again. Do better. Or stop pretending to be a Christian to promote your business. P.s. for anyone wondering, we didn’t allow the family to leave without food and water.
Nice place for quick grocery shopping. Well organized and neat. Fresh vegetables and fruits. All grocery items are stocked all times. Meat counter is great with a variety of fish. Recently Harris Teeter brought mobile payment through Harris Teeter app. But they should upgrade their payment system to support Apple pay and Google Pay as other grocery stores.
The place is busy, clean and have good food.
11-06-2023 They brought back the offensive "security scan all alises " after arriving less than 40 seconds .
Leaving the store after that.
Good store....usually always in stock...if not they will take care of you..
It amazes me that this store being on the cusp of a major neighborhood to bring in business competing with Food Lion and Publix less than a mile apart
to deliberately not up its game...
Is mind boggling...
Upgrade and
remodel already...
Contentment breeds resentment amongst employees especially an overlooked golden opportunity like this one...
Just my opinion
