Was our first time here. Staff was very friendly. They started us off with a very nice hot loaf of bread. I got the steak and seafood combo. Was nice that you were able to pick the size of the steak and the type of seafood you wanted to go with it. I got shrimp which was excellent. Lightly bartered. Now let get to the Steak!! This is the reason I only gave the food a 3 star. There was so much seasoning salt on it I couldn't eat it even after trying to wipe it off with my napkin. I should of taken a picture of it to post but I didn't want to seam like a jurk, cause the people we were with highly recommended eating here. Mind you we drove over an hour to get there. I should of sent it back so yes it's kinda my fault. I figured I would just take it home wash it of and give it to my dogs. I don't think I'll make that drive again just to go there to eat. We visited the Harris House and it was ok. Our food took over 45 minutes to be served. The waitstaff kept saying it'd be "10 more minutes". It was frustrating when we were all hungry and ready for a hot meal. They did give us free bread to appease us for our long wait but it would have been nice to get that at the beginning before we got hangry. The oyster stew can be made with or without milk, which was unusual to us, but it was full of oysters. The hamburger steak was as expected. They do have a decent salad bar but the bowls are tiny. If you order a soft drink it comes in a can with a glass of ice fyi. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20

Seafood extremely bland and undercooked. Except the fried oysters, they were too crunchy to eat, mostly breading. Crab cakes full of grease. Overpriced. Best thing was the salad bar, but the salad bowls are super small. Added gratuity on the check themselves

What a great find! We we're in the area to hunt and fish. Went there on a Friday night about 7pm. There happened to be a banquet there, which ment they were very full. Even with that they seated us immediately. Waitress took our drink order and was back very quickly to bring those drinks. In fact all through our visit the wait staff was very quick to attend to our every need. We ordered and even with the large crowd there we got our food in a very reasonable time. Now about the food. We all agree that our food was very good. Flounder was so fresh. Oyater were too. Steak was juicy and cooked perfectly. Try the tuna bites because they are very good and generosity portioned. Salad bar was fresh and plentiful. Quick service, everything correct, cooked correct. Prices are very reasonable. We will be back when in the area.

I've never really liked this place. Though I'm always told they do the best seafood (too bad I don't eat seafood) on the menu it said homemade hambuger which it's not it's the patties they were very dry. The sweet tea is not sweet at all. I can depend on their mashed potatoes and bread. I guess everyone got to have something good.
