We ate here last night. The open-air vibe was neat. It was very windy, but it was nice since it is 100+ outside and no inside air conditioning of any kind. We had the chips and salsa. The salsa had more of a tomato/ketchup taste? Chips seemed fresh and maybe even cooked in-house. We also had these empanadas that had sort of an ettoufee inside them and they were good. We also had the wedge salad (chopped), and it was good also. Then we ordered the Italian pizza. On the menu, it says it has olives, ham, salami, and of course cheese. It didn't specifically say green olives, so just a heads up. The crust is amazing, and I feel if we had known the type and quantity of green olives, we could have asked to leave them off. We love olives, but just the quantity of green olives made the pizza so salty we just ate one piece each.
We did have a sweet waitress and another young lady who was super sweet checking on us. With a bit of tweaking, this food could be amazing. I don't want this to seem like a negative review because it's not. We will give it another shot in the future and try a different pizza.

I can't rave enough about my experience at Hardheads Ice House and Grill! From start to finish, every aspect of our visit was exceptional.First off, let's talk about the drinks. The Texas Rock Candy Jalapeno Margaritas were out of this world! They had the perfect balance of sweetness and heat, making each sip a delightful experience.Now onto the food – wow! I indulged in a feast of fried frog legs, fried shrimp, fried catfish, hush puppies, and french fries, and every single item exceeded my expectations. The flavors were spot on, and the seafood was cooked to perfection. The hush puppies were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, and the french fries were the perfect accompaniment.Not only was the food delicious, but the atmosphere was also fantastic. The laid-back vibe combined with friendly staff made for a truly enjoyable dining experience.Overall, if you're in Crystal Beach, Texas, do yourself a favor and visit Hardheads Ice House and Grill. You won't be disappointed!

Servers were amazing! Food was excellent and you couldn't beat the prices for great food! We absolutely enjoyed our experience here! Derrick was great. Helped our son pour his drink into his to go cup. Very patient with us having 4 kiddos.

This was our first time to eat here. We were pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious at what we assumed was a beer joint. My fried shrimp, hush puppies that melted in your mouth and coleslaw was awesome. I have never tasted fries as good as I was served. Everyone ate up all the fries and we ordered extras. The service was fantastic. We never ran out of anything. We'll be returning to this place again.

Felt very racist. 2 stars are for the waiter that tried his best to make us feel welcome after the BS we experienced when we walked in. And they allow smoking inside, yuck!

Love this place!! We had the best service, our waiter was so attentive and the manager working was super friendly! We felt so welcome. The Bloody Mary was delicious and the fried pickles were my favorite. We also tried the catfish bites and the blackened fish tacos, they both came with plenty of French fries on the side and everything tasted amazing. Great vibes here, we will definitely be back!

Loved it! Coastal breeze blowing through the restaurant while drinking my spicy bloody mary and eating my blackened fish tacos was perfect! The chicken nachos were super yummy as well! Thank you for the experience!
