What an amazing experience ! This is the best Finnish-Thai restaurant in Hua Hin, and the perfect place for pork ribs lovers. Believe me, their pork ribs speciality is just amazing. That is because the ribs are marinated (based on a Finnish recipe) up to 8 hours before being cooked on the grill. Woaw, I couldn't believe my eyes when I received my plate (it looked HUGE) and it was really delicious. We have also been very touched by the warm welcome and attention we've been given from the restaurant owner and his wife. They even invited us for the Finnish National day, but unfortunately we were not physically present in Hua Hin on that day... Happy Pig is an amazing restaurant, with a unique menu at an unbeatable value for money, and we can't wait to come back again. It is definitely one of our favorite place in Hua Hin. I had a meal in this restaurant and it was nice. The lady who served us was very nice and helpful. The only down for me was the cats. I am allergic to cats and cats sitting on the bar, and possibly other places that the public don’t see, is disappointing and not for me. My family and I went to the Green Onion BBQ which was shut and Father Ted’s where we didn’t get served. Played up an parked out the front of The Happy Pig and had an awesome meal. Ribs were so tender, missus’ fish was lovely and the boy’s nuggets were actually really nice 👍🏻 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
I visited Happy Pig restaurant on the evening of 29 May 2023. I was initially going to go somewhere else, just down the road, but I came across Happy Pig quite by accident. I really enjoyed my dinner – the half-rack of ribs was just the perfect portion size. I then got chatting to a lovely bunch of guys, including the owner of Happy Pig, Cippi, who showed me around the lovely memorabilia at the restaurant. Whenever I am in Soi 94 again I will make sure to visit this lovely family-run restaurant again. My new Swedish friends made my evening at Happy Pig such a memorable dinner and I look forward to visiting again soon. Best rib I ever had in my life, affordable price with amazing rib and side dishes. The owner had their own recipe of sauce for the rib which is not a bbq sauce. The potato are nicely cooked with butter and garlic. Highly recommended for anyone.

It was a quiet early evening. Service was good. Beer was cold. Good choice of food from the menu. I had a salad to start and then the pork chop with mushroom sauce. Delicious. A Finnish style menu, the owners have lived in Finland and Thailand - and know how to cook their food well!! Really happy with the service, great menu and relaxed atmosphere! **It's across from a funky little bar called Moonshine Lounge (Moonshine bar on Google maps) I've eaten here twice, first meal was Chicken steak with fried potato, brown gravy and salad. YUM! The gravy was so good and the fried potatoes super tasty. Second meal was Lapland style fish fillet with mashed potatoes and vegetables... Including homemade tartare sauce double Yum! Fish was fresh and very well cooked, mashed potatoes were delish - fresh, homemade just the way they should be. Alot of seating, they sell drinks and cater to the. Large groups. Menu is well worth a look!
We had been wanting to try the Happy Pig for a long time. Finally we got the chance. We ordered the grilled Pork Sticks/Kebabs and a half-back of BBQ ribs. Frankly speaking, the grilled pork dishes tasted "ok", but the pork kebabs seemed a bit undercooked. Service was friendly and nice. We were the only customers from 6:30-7:30 pm on a Covid weekend. As for atmosphere, this restaurant is "open air" with a similar feeling to a Soi 94 beer bar. Loud rock music was playing on the sound system and we found that it made the experience a bit stressful rather than relaxed. For dessert, there were limited options. We rate the total experience between a 3.5 and 4 stars. Maybe we will come back if business picks up after Covid. Still, in the meantime, we will keep searching for good BBQ ribs in Huahin.
