The best kept secret in East London. A tiny little inconspicuous little restaurant/ take away. Not much to look at from the outside but the food is phenomenal, large portions at very good prices. True middle eastern cuisine at its finest made by genuine oriental people. They serve a full sushi menu and a full Chinese menu. Excellent tasty food at great prices. Highly recommended. Our new favourite take away Chinese restaurant. Haven't been disappointed yet. Excellent prices. Great value for money with the two for one special. Can't wait to try the rest of the menu.

Unfortunately it doesn't have sit down service but the tasty aroma drew me in. I haven't tasted everything, but what I had was tasty and filling

I have been to Happy Eating before and was really impressed with their food. Their sushi is nice and their spring rolls wonderfully crispy. This time, I decided to venture out a little and order their sweet and sour pork. I will never order this again. Instead of receiving deliciously soft pork cooked in a sweet and sour sauce, I received a deep fried cube of pork served with a cheap excuse for a sweet and sour sauce. This was really disappointing as Happy Eating has a good name as a classic Chinese restaurant. I am sorry to say I won't be ordering their food anytime soon. Service Take out Meal type Lunch Price per person R 100–150
I ordered the pork pad Thai, as well chicken pad Thai and crispy chicken with noodles. I cannot begin to explain how anti climatic this food was for which I waited 50 minutes. The pad thai had barely any flavour or seasoning to it. Bland is an understatement. The crispy chicken was the only thing that had an ounce of flavour to it. Otherwise, I can’t see myself returning to this restaurant Service Take out Meal type Dinner Price per person R 100–150 Food: 1 Service: 1
