I am honestly disappointed in my visit. I've lived in Colorado for 2 years and EVERYONE says Hapa is amazing. For me it was sub-par. Everything tasted fresh except the $30 lobster roll, it was very fishy. The Tuna nachos were delicious. But for the taste, amount of food and price. I wasn't impressed. Updated review: I don’t think I have ever had a sushi chef as good as Minmin, he is not just making sushi rolls, he is making art, and his passion of sharing that art is evident. I have loved sushi my entire life, eating it all over the country in amazing sushi restaurants, and I am thrilled to have met Minmin. I will be back. Previous review: Jamal was awesome! Great energy, was so happy, so quick, and very prompt on everything. He was running around the whole time getting stuff done yet definitely didn't seem like he was too busy to help out any of his tables with whatever they needed. It's very rare to have someone so happy to do their job and I'll definitely be coming back to see him again. Had an amazing dinner with family. We were seated at the bar and served by Min Min and Jeremiah. Everyone was friendly and the food was amazing. Not only beautiful to look at but a huge variety and the sashimi pieces melted in your mouth. I ordered delivery. While what arrived was tasty, it was 50% incomplete and what did arrive was packaged horribly (see photos). It should have been all in one container, but obviously their efficiency is more important than quality of presentation, and I probably didn’t eat 15-20% of the tobiko because it fell into crevices of the plastic container. There was no pride in the restaurant exhibited in both the missing food and its preparation and delivery. What did arrive was good, but I hope not to eat tobiko with a spoon. Absolute disregard for the integrity of the order. EDIT 11/7/23: I should have updated this long ago but "life got in the way". I am BEYOND IMPRESSED with how the owner of Hapa treated my review and responded to it only a few days later (on 9/26). Without going into detail, he made me feel valued as a customer and more than made up for the poor delivery of my order. That alone will guide me to ordering from them more than I have in the past - mistakes happen, and it's how they are responded to that shows the true character of a person and a business. This place was amazing as always. Min-min our chef never disappoints always beautiful and delicious sushi and sashimi arrangements. Super fresh fish with delicious combinations. All topped off with excellent attentive service from Skyler our server!
