We didn't get a chance to eat so I'll update my review accordingly. The service was friendly, the bartender was just super nice. We just sat at the bar and had a drink. I think they close at 11. We'll be back to check out the food😁 Meal type Other Price per person $1–10 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Sat quickly as we had outdoor seating on cool night warm heaters around so perfect. Dylan came by and we talked about all kinds of food options and went with the 2 orders of the Picnic Platter, we went with Baby back ribs, brick chicken, brisket backed beans and sautéed green beans. and the other was St Louis spareribs, bbq chicken, pulled pork coleslaw, and baked beans. Chicken was extremely juicy, Brisket was not your texas bbq but flavorful. was not a fan of the bean's but others liked it at our table. the green beans were very tasty. Dylan, our server, stayed on top of the water and brought over hand wipes to keep us clean. We started with the spicy chicken wings and an order of deviled eggs. the folks at the table grabbed them before I could get a good shot. They were yummy! My wife went with a tostada salad. looked delicious! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Deviled Eggs

The delicious smell outside is deceiving. We had the cornbread which just didn't taste right and I had the rib and chicken combo with Memphis ribs and fried chicken with mashed potatoes and green beans. The bbq sauce on the ribs was really good but the rib meat was tough and on the dry side. First time having that style so not sure if that's how it's supposed to be. The chicken was okay; it was super crispy. I didn't expect it to be flat. The mashed potatoes: great; the apple cider gravy was an abomination. Staff were wonderful and attentive. Food is pretty nice. Everything is good and some things are better than others just like every place I guess. The staff is always attentive and friendly. The place is clean and Polished. They have a good selection of whiskey which I enjoy. And the whiskey prices themselves are not bad at all. I noticed that they did have some whiskeys available in the case in the back hallway that weren't on their menu so it's possible that they have what you want even if it's not listed. I took some pictures of the whiskey list so I'll post them here as well. The fried chicken is really wonderful and I enjoyed the gumbo tonight. On my last visit we had ribs which I think we're good but I may have to have them again to decide how good. Great place to try a few hard to find whiskeys if nothing else. My son and I had fried chicken, pulled pork nachos, gumbo and I had a whiskey and the bill was $100 even. We will be back. Quite tasty pulled pork sandwich with some classic Mac n cheese. It was great! Everyone else in our party of 25 loved their food too! If you have peanut allergy, avoid the fries (they fry them - at least at the time when we visited and asked) Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Brisket & Pork Combo

Not sure why so many reviewers are giving 5 stars. BBQ short ribs was so dry I could not finish without forcing myself to swallow it only after thinking how expensive the combo dish was. Pulled pork was also dry and needed a lot of their sauce to make them taste good. Sides are tasty and the cobbler dessert was also good. However a BBQ joint’s strength should be moist fall off the bone and melt in your mouth good meats. Unfortunately it is not here. Service and atmosphere are quite good but that does save the mediocre BBQ main dishes. This restaurant is located on the street side of Claremont Packing House. I wasn't sure what to expect from this large BBQ spot but it was absolutely delicious! The breakfast menu ran until 2:00 so we were able to satisfy the entire table with breakfast & the lunch menu. The shrimp & grits (from the lunch menu) were on point. A bit spicy and shrimp perfectly cooked. But now, the Southern Benedict with collard greens and andouille with chipotle hollandaise was off the charts. I subbed-out potatoes for the jalapeno cheddar grits which were also incredible. They weren't mealy like some grits and had a nice chew to them. The sauces were all great as well but we particularly liked the Carolina mustard sauce. Service was very friendly and the manager was about checking everyone's satisfaction and clearing tables, etc. Always nice to see. Also I thought the pricing was very fair. I loved it and will definitely be back! Service Dine in Meal type Brunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Cast Iron Cornbread

We went here to celebrate my sis for her bday on Saturday. The service was eh we had 1 server who was great and then they switched and the other young lady was ok not particularly attentive just ok. Both managers were more attentive than our server. We ordered a cinnamon skillet for the whole table and it was so good, cut up like a pizza it served 8 of us. I noticed that they didn't have rib tips or burnt ends on the menu, I was hoping that it was a secret and all I had to do was ask but noooooo they don't offer them at all😳☹️. This is the first BBQ restaurant that I've been to that doesn't offer these items. I spoke to the manager and he stated that he would give the feedback to corporate and maybe the next time we come back it could be on the menu. The other question was so what do they do with these pieces and he honestly couldn't tell me. Once I got over that, we ordered kids meals, rib sandwich with Mac and cheese, 3 meat plate with sides and fish and sides, the skillet cornbread was also ordered. Everyone was happy and stated their food was really good. The highlight was the blueberry lemonade OMG it was amazing, if you're looking for something not too sweet and refreshing this is a great choice. Overall I would come back, they have great outside seating and of course you can walk your food off with all the great shops and boutiques in the area. First off, I just want to say...This place is amazing!!! The staff was amazing, the food was perfect, and Ben the manager, The Best!!! My wife and I decided to try Gus's BBQ for the first time tonight on our 17th anniversary. We were not disappointed. The first thing you'll notice when stopping by here is the wonderful smell of all the smoked BBQ. I'm not going to get into everything we ordered, but we will definitely be coming back again and again. Family friendly, energetic atmosphere, great service, super nice staff, and the perfect BBQ. You can't go wrong. Again I just want to thank the manager Ben for his hospitality and conversation!!!! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50
