It was a really interesting tour, only I wished it had some english subtitles or something 😂 they did get me a paper sheet in english with all the info they covered in the tour. Also the bar inside the mine was an awesome surprise 👌

It would be nice if they would provided an electronic copy of the transcript to the email address of customers that the guides say to visitors only in Polish. We were required to arrive 15 minutes early, which we were lucky to do as there was a car accident on the way. So we arrived at 3:15pm ready for a 3:30pm session. Then there was nothing important to do between 3:15pm and 3:30pm apart from go to the toilet and check we had some water. During that time of they had offered an electronic copy of the transcript I could have translated it into English online since we still had internet connection above ground. Then during the tour at each stop I could have just read the relevant section in English from my mobile phone instead of standing around understanding nothing. I only speak English and barely any Polish, and my partner only speaks and understands intermediate Polish. I didn't understand anything they said on the 2 hour tour apart from a couple of words and my partner also struggled to understand, so it was actually incredibly boring and after the first 30 minutes I wished there was a way to end the tour early as there were more things I could have been doing. On the tour we did spurts of repeatedly walking and then the guide would stop and talk in Polish for a long time, and we were in a group of about 11 people so often the only chance to take a photo where others weren't blocking the photo was when people started walking again but then you can't take too long to take the photo since you have to stay close to the group. There was a short ride on the hanging train at the end of the tour and it ended at an underground pub. Our other family members went on a different longer tour that started after ours so we bought some beer and waited for them there since the beginner tour ends at the pub

Perfect place to meet the mining history.
That was a great experience. The guide was working down there in the past and know every detail. It took arrond 4h. Some time at 170m and more at 350m level. Driving also with the underground hanging train. At the end you can stay at 350m and sit in a bistro. Just go back up by taking the elevator going every 30 minutes.
It's an amazing place for visit! The guide knows perfectly all about the mine! I recommend it!
I come from Zabrze and have lived here most of my life. I wanted to show my roots to my girlfriend and decided to pay a visit to this internationally know heritage site. Even in the description of the tour at the start, the guide highlighted that Guido is one of the most renowned industrial, touristic sites in Europe. Having that in mind, one member of staff could only speak English and there was no audioguide available or even an English, written guide. The staff had to hand out a4 printed out pages. It was not a problem for us, as I kept translating what is being said, but there was a party from Britain who did not have this privilege and had to read from these pieces of paper in half darkness. That needs to be addressed as soon as possible. Audio guides are a must for a site like this. Having said that, the tour was really well organised, interesting and very well planned. Long enough, very informative and our guide was just brilliant. His passion and noticeable experience made it extremely engaging. He needs a praise and a raise! Seeing the machines used in mines from close up, and working, makes it so much more real too. I recommend this place to everyone, but if you do not speak Polish, please check if measures have been taken to provide for your needs, or prepare to be slightly disappointed! :) Come on Guido, you can improve this.
Go to Guido and live the miners struggle. The guide was very knowledgeable and the tour was amazing. You will learn about the history of the underground _ Silesia
