Bought a loaf of "Dakota" seeded whole grain bread on this first visit. It was a heavy, full-flavored bread, and very tasty by itself. Great bakery! After over 60 years in the retail as well wholesale food business one knows quality. It's a shame in an area like Baltimore/Annapolis with the vast demographics that there isn't other bakeries like Great Harvest. Two thumbs up for offering us a better choice than super market bread products. Par baked carbs sold as artisan bread is a every day occurence in this country. It's also a major contributor to obesity in our population. I see only one draw back ... And that is where Supermarket chains shrink out millions of dollars a month in bakery items that have no resource to rework or repropose other than bread crumbs... Great Harvest shelves are empty every day! Yes the draw back is if you don't get in store early or place an paid order....you're out of luck.... This is a really good bakery. They make the bread, cookies, scones, and muffins in-house with much love. You can watch them doing it, and taste it in the products. Service is fast and friendly, and knowledgeable of the ingredients. Don't be turned off by the price as this level of quality is worth it. Very good experience.
