The “assistant manager”, racially profiled two of my coworkers when they wanted to buy a drink and wanted to confiscate their valid identifications just because they were from another state. although the bouncer had just allowed to 21-year-olds who were also accompanying me to go into their establishment without an identification,to make matters worse. When I visit the establishments facilities, I encountered a man who was so drunk that he left the door open to the restroom and exposed his private areas to me and one of the 21-year-old girls as he lifted his pants up and he continued his was to the bar where the “ assistant manager “ continued served him more alcohol when he was clearly so intoxicated that by TABC standards he should have been legally cut off. Needless to say we will not be going back to this establishment and the two people that were racially profiled we’re actually investors looking to open up more businesses in this area.
It is now located at South Main and Broadway. The old News Herald Building. It is a cozy bar. Not as big as the one on this picture but the old building makes for a nice atmosphere. It gets a good crowd around 8pm until closing.
Based on my experience, good customer service from the bartenders. The drinks I ordered were all mixed well and fine. No issues occurred. Would recommend and would return again.
Folks, this is the place to be on Saturday night if you don't want to drag your lazy butt across the bridge into Acuna. It's a dive bar, but it's clean, safe, and the crowd is cool.
They have a pool table, a couple of electronic dart boards and Touch Tunes (which I personally despise, but who cares?).
They literally have over four dozen beers in bottles and cans - trust me, I counted. Nothing on tap except for the three outside when they have that bar open.
Inside, they have a full bar and they have several "custom crafted" mixed drinks that are considered Gorzugi's specialty cocktails.
HUGE parking lot in the back and plenty of room for those concerts coming up - like The Randy Rogers Band on 7/5/18 - I just might have to make another road trip for this! Looks like there is plenty of street parking for such events too.
Nice covered patio out back as well.
Standing outside right now, 3 PM, Saturday, October 8, 2022, and it's closed. So either Google needs updated, the owners need a new alarm clock, or they forgot to schedule an opener. Anyhow, took my money to Blue Oasis. 👎
