Terrible all around. Almost $70 for mediocre meals. Ice machine at the soda fountain doesn't work and the drinks weren't even cold coming out of the fountain. The ice cream machine happened to need cleaning when my kids were almost done eating. Emptied it out and took the cones back after looking over at us almost done eating. Wouldn't recommend this restaurant. The other location is 100 times better.

Great location! I've had Golden Chick with my dad on several occasions, and this as one of the best locations. Fast and friendly service, and tasty chicken!

Golden Fried Chicken Platter
We went at 1:50 pm on a Friday. They took our payment for a family meal with 12 strips. Girl that took order kept trying to charge us for a side but we wanted just chicken and biscuits. A man was at window and fixed order. Said to pull forward. They never brought it out. Several of us sat and waited 15 min before I went inside. No one was filling the orders. The guy from the window came to help me since I walked inside and he put my order together.
I took a photo of 3 strips. The tiny strips are about 2 inches long. Not a good deal. I will go somewhere else for chicken next time

The food was delicious. The cashier/ manager was friendly however, when I ordered the family box of wings and I asked for made to order wings, the cook over heard me and got mad. He got mad and said “really? Aw man” he was pist. I told the cashier we could go somewhere else, but she insisted that we stayed. She had on a manager’s uniform. The cook looked like he just got out of bed. He had no hat and hair and appearance was not presentable. He kept giving me and my wife ugly looks as we dined in. Food was great, but attitude of cook was lousy and lazy! We went on Saturday 12-2-23 around 2:00 pm. If you go around that time order quietly so cook can’t hear you.

Hopefully the owner and all Door Dashers in San Angelo see this review. Both San Angelo locations serve great food, but they are horrible for delivery drivers. The crew ignores everyone (including Dashers) at the front register. They prioritize orders taken in drive-thru even after the Dasher arrives. It's absolutely one of the worst pick-up locations for us Dashers. Dashers should avoid accepting orders to these stores, unless you want a nightmare. Also, the store on Sherwood took a year to fix it's exterior lights, and now it still dark as night after sunset, looks closed, it's a shame. The owner has some explaining to do.
