I love stopping by Golden Chick and grabbing thatv9 piece chicken hot wings and roll with a sweet tea. I would say also the fish meal is a very tasty dish as well. The only negative comment I have to say about Mt.Vernons restaurant is the service and atmosphere is really bad. They take so long on getting the food out plus they are rude when they serve you.

The food was good and fresh.
There were only a couple of people in the dining area, and it was clean.
I think some customer service training is needed here.
The girl waiting on the front was unfriendly and must have been hard of hearing because we had to keep repeating ourselves, and she moved at a snail's pace. Everything she did was in slow motion. She charged extra for a breast in our combo, which was ok, but she should have said something to let us know. ("I'm sorry, sir, but that combo doesn't come with a breast. I can add one for extra money" would have been nice) I went back to ask for a plate. She had taken a couple of steps towards the back, stopped and looked at me, then turned around and went about her business without a word. She started helping another girl fix a to go order. Finally a young man who was working on orders stopped and asked if he could help. He gave me a plate with four long greasy fingerprints in it!
