It was a cold December evening in Sioux City. I was finished driving for the day on my way up to Minnesota. I decided to stop in and order a pizza that I would eat in the truck while watching The Voice. It was getting down to serious business on The Voice, as they were in the semi-finals and had only 8 contestants remaining. I had it all planned perfectly.
I had a craving for pickles so I ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger pizza which I had never tried. I was the only customer in the joint. I placed my order and 20 minutes later my pizza was complete. Not long after that I was in the truck tearing into that pizza. I did notice that it did not appear to have onions or pickles but I assumed it was all under the cheese. Incorrect.
I ate an entire slice and the stone cold reality of the situation hit me. Someone had Effed-up again. How difficult must it be to make a pizza with the advertised ingredients? I know they must have a chart on the wall. Let me remind you, I was the only customer in the place and they were FAR from being slammed.
At this point it was about 10 minutes until The Voice started and there would be no time for a remake.
Upon returning the pizza, I got the vibe from the manager that I was returning it so I could have that one free slice. Hey Mr. manager guy, if your employees were remotely competent you would not have seen me a second time.
I am bashing this Godfather's pizza but in all honesty, it's an indictment of humanity as a whole. I think we have only a 50/50 chance of getting what we order correct at the average restaurant. There has been a noticeable decline in competence over the years and unfortunately it's never getting better. We are screwed.
I wanted a cheese bread. What I got was charged $14 for a cheese pizza with no sauce on it. I specifically asked for sides of the pizza sauce that they put on the pizzas at least twice. Then instead I was handed prefilled sauce cups which I didn't want but I just took themand left. I have pictures to post to compare what I got as opposed to what I wanted but not sure it'll get to post them. How hard is it to make something the correct way? Sioux City in general has a lot of "kids" working in food that have zero work ethic. It's hard to get an order made right anywhere here. And I won't even get in to how disgustingly dirty the lobby was here where Godfathers, subway and chesters was.

My pizza wasn't quite done and they were gracious enough to fix it for me. Wonderful manager. But Victor stood out to me, He has impeccable customer service skills, nice to see in young people. He has a bright future, how you treat him well.
So... Good food and good service all around,
This goes for the people at Subway also
Jenny did a Super excellent job.
