I love this place and their “awe-delicious” bread taste great! The muffins are so so, but the breads are so tasty. Not fond of the gummy texture of the bagels. Ignore the haters. I find with anything GF you have to heat or toast.
Very disappointed with today's experience at the E McDowell Rd location. I have been a customer for 4 years. Today we purchased cupcakes, 6 loaves of bread, bagels, etc. Since I was buying so much, I asked the cashier to tell me what each item cost (no price labels are on the products) to keep track of it. She instead took the "less active" approach and asked me to simply look at the screen. Great, thanks! My total came to $152, which seemed a bit high from experience but there was someone behind me and I just paid. Thank goodness I had the printed receipt. I was overcharged $41. The lady refunded the amount, thanked me for pointing it out, but didn't think she should apologize. 1. Employees should know how to ring up bread. 2. Employees should knnow when an amount just seems too high. 3. Employees should apologize to customer when they make such a big mistake. 4. Employees should just oblige the customer and say the price of something as they ring things up if asked. Check your receipts here, people!
The owner is the sweetest most down to earth individual. She makes you feel like you have walked into your family's kitchen... The baked goods are absolutely mouthwatering and unforgettable. I've had loaves of bread, muffins, the first cinnamon roll I've had in years, cookies, cakes, brownies and I can't wait for my next visit!!!
The best GF restaurant/food I've ever eaten! Thank God for this place!! Love love love it!
Update: 4/9/18
I recently just received my order that I had shipped to Miami, where I live. Everything I ordered was amazing, fresh, and tasted wonderful! So thankful for this place, since there is nothing that compares anywhere else.
Food is awesome. They know how to bake gluten-free so it doesn’t taste nasty. Their baked stay moist and they give instructions are shelf life and freezer life
Their products and customer service are awesome! The Awelicious bread is so good, you can't even tell It's gluten-free. I also love how clear the labeling is on their products.
Not impressed with the NPhoenix location being unable to actually bake a 9" round cake and inscribe on it. You advertise on your site you have it, but when you call you don't have it and tell me I have drive all the way to Scottsdale to get that and you don't even know if they will have it available. Don't advertise what you usually don't have. Lost all my business from this point forward.
I recently visited Gluten Free Creations Bakery and purchased their Restaurant, Sandwich and Cinnamon Raisin Bread. I've only tried the Restaurant bread and the Cinnamon Raisin bread thus far. They are both very good. The slice size are just enough. The price per loaf is more than you would spend for a regular loaf of bread, $7.99 - $8.99. I keep the bread frozen and thaw only what I need. It's my understanding that it will last in the freezer up to 6 months and in the refrigerator about a week.
I have made a grilled cheese using the Restaurant bread but out of the two, my favorite is their Cinnamon Raisin Bread (lightly toasted) with light soy free Earth Balance butter for breakfast. You must try them out for yourself. The lady gave me a free gluten free chocolate cookie before I left. I wonder if they offer coupons but I didn't ask.
A friend gave me chocolate cupcakes from Gluten Free Creations Bakery for my birthday and they were amazing. Since I don't eat gluten, I hadn't planned on having any sort of cake but was delighted by this delicious gift and left calorie guilt aside as I enjoyed them.
While more and more options are opening up for those of us eating wheat-free, this bakery is definitely one to add to your list! Can't wait to try more from their menu.
